K900 actual picture

I think the shot from the side is pretty nice. I like it. Of course, I'll need to see clear pictures from all angles - but so far, so good. I think it'll look good in person and/or when we get a really good look at it. The interior looks great. It looks like a big S-Class type car. And it's a big improvement over the first generation...

People who saw it say that the car is HUGE.

Has to be huge to compete with the S class and 7 series. Those things are boats.

We have been posting sketches and teaser images of the upcoming Kia K900 sedan, but photos of the real thing are already available in South Korea. Some presentation slides of the car, wearing the name "K9," have made it online on a Korean motoring site.

As a side note, two infos were revealed in a korean live broadcast regarding the emblem and what people were speculating over.
1. Like the Stinger, the Korean version will probably have a 'E' badge and the foreign version will have a Kia badge.
2. Kia has no plan to create its own Luxury brand any soon. The reason is that the mother company (Hyundai motorgroup) is already struggling trying to launch its Genesis brand and cannot offer to launch another one.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Found this video this morning. Looks like the launch video for it, the official launch date is set for April 3rd. Looks like they want to go up against Mercedes with this one, they dropped a Maurice Lacroix time piece in the center of the dash. I'm curious to see how they present it to the press and buying public, plus how they price it.

Here are a couple of videos to go along with this:

Cool video and it made me like the front headlights but the rest of the car looks too generic and Benz-ish...

Looks pretty good in the video, actually. Kia is really ramping up their line this year with the K900 and the Stinger. Hopefully people really start to change their thinking on the brand. I'd say 50% of the people who discover my car is actually a Kia turn their noses up!

I'm guessing that level of buyer is what they are targeting or someone that want that level of luxury but at a cost that is a lot less. Personally I was expecting something more sporting in looks but I guess folks at that level prefer a different look.

hum... I can never tell where they got the inspiration for the tail lights.

Funny to see that it has the Stinger's shifter knob.

If anyone is interested, Kia also released the price list for Korea.

The base engine is a 3.8L - naturally aspirated. Then, a 3.3L turbo - this should be the same engine as the Stinger. The top engine is 5.0L, non-turbo V8 - would love to see a V8 in the Stinger also.

4 interior color options, and somewhat boring paint palette.

By the way, if you think the Stinger is expensive for a Kia. The top trim V8 costs 90,000 USD!

It certainly is a unique design for KIA. It looks like they went a long way to making this a true luxury sedan. With the talent they have assembled, I'm hoping they have made this car comparable to the A8, 7 Series, LS and S-Class with it's material quality, technology and ride and handling comfort.

They should hold off on releasing the K900 until it’s finished. Looks like that got the front end done and most of the interior...maybe another year or two and they should have a completed car...

Looks nice, good luck selling a $90,000 car through the KIA network of dealers.
It going to be a very small percentage of people that can afford a $90,000 car that also want to buy it in the same dealership where someone is negotiating their lowest possible payment on a Kia Rio

Back in 2012 when I traded my 535 for a Optima Hybrid folks thought I was crazy. I had changed the badges on the wheels, front and back but kept the one on the steering wheel. One day a co-worker say me drive in and said, "I knew you didn't get a KIA, what version of Lexus is that!? I like it". After looking the car over and hopping in to check out the amenities, heated/cooled seats up front and heated in the back, panoramic roof, spacious interior. He was really impressed with the car. I turned it off and the seat moved back. Whaat!!! Dude you really got the luxury stuff here! He said. When he got in the driver seat and saw the KIA badge, he asked why I put it on the steering wheel, I replied, it is a KIA! I just changed the exterior badge, I opened the glove box and pulled out the manual, that's when he believed me but he was stunned that the car was made by KIA and offered so much for the price. He was sure it was about $50K.

Take folks for a ride or let them drive it and they get a different view after that.

I like it quite a bit. I don't see it winning any beauty contests - but I think it's plenty classy and elegant...

The "essence of Benz" is exactly what they're aiming for...

The market doesn't really want sporty in this segment. Even BMW's 7-Series has been toned down...

$90k would be a mistake of epic proportions in America. That would be considered extreme arrogance - even for the fully loaded top model. Maybe in another generation - but not yet...

They are more likely to bring a loaded model here for around $60 - 70k. A 5 series with a good amount of equipment and a 6 cylinder goes for @ $70k while the G90 loaded is $76k. I figure they want to sell those cars here so they might even start it in the mid $50k.

A very interesting approach from KIA, however I see a lot of Equus in it. We will have to wait and find out how it actually does against the big guys.

Hypothetically, you could camouflage the badges and have a buyer who can afford $90k for a car sit and judge for themselves. Then, after about 10 minutes, let them know it's a Kia. Let's say they were suitably impressed, brand aside. Now, blindfold them and bring them through the front door of an average Kia dealership, then remove the blindfold. Cue cognitive dissonance, and engagement of "1st world" fight-or-flight response...
