For sale is a K&N Typhoon Performance Intake System for the 2.0T Stinger Base/Premium, Stinger GT-Line, or 2.0T G70. $125 + shipping via USPS.

The intake will ship in the original K&N box. The intake system has aluminum wrap on the outside of the shielding to minimize heat soak.

JB4 logs show quicker boost spool-up and I can attest to the better throttle response. I am only selling it due to the Mrs. complaining about the whoosh of the turbo that's audible with this setup.

Attached is a picture of it installed in my vehicle. PM me for details via Paypal or Zelle.

Didn’t you just get this? I looked at a lot of the K&N pictures and I didn’t see the shielding you described in any of those pictures. Is this a new version? Where did you buy it from?

If the sound is truly the only issue then you may want to consider just using the bigger mouth snorkels and a simple drop in K&N panel filter with the stock air box.

I have that setup with my 3.3 TT V6 right now and it dropped .1 seconds on my quarter mile times even though I am making so much torque my RWD Stinger is spin city now.

I don’t hear any audible difference with this setup and yet I have noticed a significant performance difference. It might work well with the 4 cylinder engine for not too much money.

Just a thought. I hope your K&N system finds a good home. If it was two of them I would definitely be on board for it for my V6.

I did, just a week ago, from another member on this board. He applied the shielding originally. I found another angle that shows it:

I think it helps the performance, but the intake reveals how much air the turbo intake needs at startup (for about 10 seconds) and while under boost. To keep the peace with this shared vehicle, I reverted back to the stock airbox.

Thanks for the input!

I'm interested, please PM me since I'm new and don't think I can send you one. I can do paypal today if it is still available. Thanks!
