Has anyone had this happen though? Two ‘bubbles’ showing on either end. At first glance I’d expect to have to peel off a layer of something clear but there is nothing there. After a closer inspection it looks like delamination. Anyone experience this?

You sure that isn't a clear profective film? I think the 3.0 badges have the same thing and it needs to be peeled off.

Where did you get the badge from? And secondly , did it come this way?

I had the 3.0 badges back in the day, and they eventually all bubled and looked horrible which is why I only considered the E badge.

@DiabloStinger, that's a REALLY strange looking defect. If you bought that badge from me, of course you'll get a new one. But I can't see how that's even possible. There's nothing that could bubble up like that. I'd love to get it back so I can show the manufacturer. Send me a direct message (conversation) so we can get started on that. I have to use a word I never have before - I'm flabbergasted - because these are seriously high quality emblems. I'm anxious to find out what happened here...

Thank you. I’m out of town for a week but I’ll shoot you a message soon. I shouldn’t have an issue getting it removed and sent back once I’m back home also. Much aopreciated.

Badge from the stinger store here. I can say it did not go on the car this way. Only after a few minutes of direct pressure to mount did they appear. Only thing I can imagine is a small crack must have happened on the back of the badge. I LOVE the look of it and I’m sure it’ll get resolved.

Make sense now. Did you use your bare hands to apply pressure? I use a folded up hand towel to apply pressure to avoid stress fractures, which it does appear to have happen. If you look at the right side you can see all the fragments. Were you trying to curve the badge first?

I used a full sized towel. It was 110 yesterday in Phoenix so i didn’t go nuts on it. The best part of that heat was the extra foam glue came off with my thumb.

What is up wit the ring in the paint around the edge of the emblem?

That is just the edge of the stock badge. I’ll hit it with some buffing paste and it will go away. Looks like a build up of clear. Btw. Sal sent me a new badge and it looks amazing!!
