Well I just installed my JB4 on Kia stinger 2022 3.3 AWD, I did spark plugs to specs gapped to .022 HKS. Plugged in all wires correctly and made sure to use the fuel wires adapters to not plug in to factory. Everything was good until I started vehicle downloaded the app and tried updating while vehicle was on. It all went down the drain and vehicle started shutting off, started vehicle back on and shut off. I turned off vehicle did firmware update per n54tech latest firmware for Kia stinger. Then when it updated turned vehicle on started no issues but now I have check engine light throwing code P0107, it’s driving me nuts won’t delete keeps coming on. Took vehicle for a drive feels weak does not run normal without sport mode, and when on sport mode it feels really weak. Please advice what could be causing this issue and what can I do about the check engine light.

Your car will run like crap until you clear the code. It’s like it’s in limp mode. You can do that through the JB4 app. Do that, double check all your connections and try again. Re the fuel wires do you mean you used the plug and play adapters instead of using the posi-taps or whatever they’re called to tap in the oem ones. Be sure to report back. And don’t worry this will get figured out. Cheers

Understood I tried deleting the code through the app but it won’t delete comes back on. Will check all connections soon am off work. I used the plug and play ones and tapped into those with the posi-tabs.

im trying delete the codes while vehicle is on and off. Not sure what you mean by accessories mode and if so how would you put it on that mode?

Not following you on what you did with the fuel wires. You have the PNP so you don’t need the posi-taps.

Really, because I’m following as instructed when purchased that you buy the PNP adapter to pierce posi-tabs into that rather than piercing into the oem ones. I just want make sure this is right? I’m confused now..

i believe he is saying. " he installed the fuel wires onto his jb4, and then posi tapped his fuel wires into the plug n play adapters".

I believe that is accessories mode. once you get in your car and turn it on without pressing on the breaks. boom! the car is technically on but the engine is off. that's when you want to connect your jb4 and then clear the codes. once the codes are cleared you can turn on your car right after.

when you updated the jb4 firmware. was your engine on or off? I believe you're supposed to do this in accessories mode.

Yes the engine was on when did firmware update and that is when I started having this issue and car suddenly started shutting down and got the check engine light on.

what I can recommend for the time being is this. 1) make sure the fuel wire with the resistor is connected to pin 21. which should be the short wire and make sure the long one is in 20. 2) update everything again but make sure the car is in accessories mode. 3) if everything seems good and normal then put the car in accessories mode, delete codes. turn off the car don't turn it on. disconnect the battery and remove the jb4 to see if everything is working cool after uninstalling. 4) if the car still seems weird after uninstalling then maybe and this is me guessing based on the code you got. something is up with the spark plugs... maybe the coil? (#4 is me guessing based on the code you got.. just FYI)

so I took of the check engine code by pushing engine start button twice we’re infotainment system turns on deleted the code through Jb4 app. The car does not go in limp mode but in map 0 it feels weird, as if stock was better. I took the tune off after and connected everything back again car feels great better than running in map 0. Not sure what am doing wrong or if it’s the plugs but as for now not sure if re install Jb4 is worth it or take off.

It narrows it down. What do you have installed on your jb4? Like which wires? And can you add pictures of the connections? I just wired up my plug n play adapters to my fuel wires yesterday and installed everything again.

So as of right know it is disconnected but this is the wires that are hook to the Jb4 including me using the PNp adapters.

I got it fixed up man thanks for all your assistance I re checked the plugs one was not gapped to spec but re gapped all of them to .024. Reconnected the Jb4 filled up to 91octane as what I have out here. No codes. Did some logs on map 1 would you mind going over them ?
