Just bought a Stinger GT2

I would imagine that is before typical/normal taxes and fees. That would make the most sense. If not, I think the sales person made a mistake.
Right. And I would need to go to that dealership before that sales person is fired lol.

So, dumb questions I'm sure. Just trying to figure out the most efficient way to do this...

Do you just Cc all of the dealers your contacting into the same email so that way they see that you are truly talking to their competitors? Or do you email each one separately and just let them know your talking to others as well? What kind of info are you putting in these emails exactly?

I have 6 dealers local to Cincinnati. I've already had some back and fourth with three of them, and test drove at two of them. The other 3 dealers also all have stingers in stock and I would happily get them involved in a (hopefully) bidding war.

I perfer not to CC them all on the same email. If they all know what the other is quoting, you may not get the best deal possible just the deal that beats the other guy. I always call the dealer and talk to a sales guy, in my experience they seem to take you more seriously if you call rather than email. I let them know exactly what I am looking for and that I am working with several dealers to get the best price. They will inevitably ask for two things, one is they will want to know what the other guy is charging, I respectfully tell them I would rather not say, and let them know I would just like their best price. They will also want you to come to the dealer, again I respectfully decline and let them know that I am a busy person and will only come once I have the deal I am looking for. Once all 3 or 4 dealers give you a quote I find you can sometimes take the best number and go back to the other ones and let them know they got beat out by x number of dollars and ask if they have any room to beat the price.
I just followed this exact same strategy and got my kid a brand new Jeep compass for over 10% below MSRP. This was even on a Jeep that was not on their lot. They had to go 300 miles to find what I wanted.
Good luck!

Taking notes: :p

1. Call each dealer individually
2. Let them know you're working with several other local dealers to get the best price
3. When they ask what the best deal is thus far, respectfully decline and tell them you want to know THEIR best price
4. When they ask you to come in, respectfully decline letting them know you're very busy and will only come in after finding the deal you're looking for
5. Take the best quote and see which other dealer is willing to beat it

Fan-Tas-Tic :)

OK, so your not just calling/emailing dealers and saying something like "I want to pay X dollars for a GT2, I'm contacting you and other local dealers to see who is willing to match or get close to my offer."?

For sure make it clear that you are calling multiple dealers looking for the best price.
My wording is, I want this exact car, (list off options and colors) I am calling around to all the dealers in the area to find the best deal. Can you give me your best price please?

@Never thought...which dealer in AZ did you use?

Thx
Tempe Kia. The next best was Earnhardt Kia. They were selling a GT2 for $45,900 with a $700 dealer add and no market adjustment. But they low balled my trade big time. Tempe Kia did $46,500 which included tint, and I got $2K more for my trade. Dont expect a great dealer experience though.

Thanks...Peoria Kia (Earnhardt) is at $47,300 right now using my Costco offer and it's for the Sunset Yellow GT2. I think there is still more wiggle for them and still waiting for arrival. They want $800 for tint...just laughing at that.

Can you explain what is a Costco offer ? Im from AU..haha
Costco is a "bulk" warehouse shopping company. They also offer a "hassle free" auto buying program for members whereby certain dealers work with them and offer preset prices for autos that are typically below invoice.

Peoria Kia is different. Earnhardt Kia is off Bell and near the 51. I bought my GT2 from Mike Breyfogle in Tempe Kia. You may want to give him a shout. $800 for tint is ridiculous.

Thanks again...looks like Peoria Kia is owned/part of the Earnhardt network. Will def look at the other one too and chat with your guy! Agreed on the cost of the tint...especially given it most likely is not as dark as desired or as high quality for UV/heat reduction as i would prefer.
