10-4, JT has posted on their Instagram working on some larger projects so i am assuming these orders have been pushed to the way side, I mean any communication would be better than nothing at this point.
I can not comprehend how these car companies handle custom service. I don’t care how good your parts are if the customer service is not there your company is a entire hypocrisy.
I purchased my JT CAI from another forum member, but Jonny has always been responsive and sent out parts i needed that were missing. Put them in my 2022 this past weekend.
Just to follow up here is the Response from Jonny Himself:
"Hey David
Jon here mate. Please don't worry, I am fully aware and the employee that was responsible is no longer with us. Unfortunately some of his work made it out as we have been so sparse with Covid and the workforce being put in isolation etc. Your intakes are almost complete and I have ended my custom work to supervise production of parts and also building them. There was an exhaust built by the employee that had some issues lining up ( most of which i believe was inexperienced fitters at the shop the customer was using ) and a set of intakes with the diverted spigots welded on wrong side. We have sent both customers new items immediately. If there are any other issues you have heard of please let me know.
You intakes are just around the corner and I'm sure you will be happy with them.
If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact myself
Kindest regards Jon"
Coming from an operations background I really understand all the difficulties in the past year+ with everything going on, and it looks like they are making an effort to correct any imperfections. with that being said If anyone has issues they would like pointed out that we could give Jon in a constructive manner I think he would appreciate the heads up. I'm sure I will post again once I hear my intakes are otw.
I wonder if that person is Tash. He told me 6 weeks ago that my intakes were "completed, just awaiting powder coating". When I reached out again earlier this week for an update, I was told "I'm busy. I'll give you an update when I can".
It's just absurd. I don't think I'd be so upset if they had just been honest with me from the beginning and told me that I'd be waiting much longer than their "normal" lead time. I'd be willing to bet they haven't had ANY part ordered, built, and shipped within 10 weeks for the last 4 years.

I had been back and forth with Tash so I have no reason to believe it was her. I do agree a more honest opinion estimate on wait times would have been appreciated and I did receive a similar story along the lines of waiting on some clamps.
the guy is known to lie and make up stories just to save face here in aus....many aus stinger communities have black listed him from join the groups or advertising his products. Even here people were told 3-6 week waiting time and then 12 weeks later still no product to show for it and takes days upon days to response. Be very cautious ordering anything from JT

You're really only going to see measurable gains with a CAI when paired with a tune/JB4. The sound though probably makes it worth the investment regardless of performance gains. Just do the BMS Intakes. Affordable, functional, easy to install, proven gains. I have the VR performance Intakes and although I do like the design, the quality of construction is shyte.
I love my JT Intakes. Took a while to get here, but i know that going in. Fit was great. Look great. And Improved 1/4 times. With that being said, my intakes were pretty much my last mod, maybe doing them with out other mods is not as noticeable. Not sure.
no I still haven’t heard any update I mentioned if it was gonna take a while we should just issue a refund but they were very insistent it would be ready in the near future… that was may 30th from Tash. From what is on the above thread I had last heard from Jonny on May 6th and will probably reach back out about getting a refund.

I've been going back and forth with them just about every two weeks. I paid for my order on Feb 1. If I don't have shipping confirmation by Aug 1, I will be requesting a refund as well. Luckily I will have PayPal to back me up if things get sour. I hope it does not come to that though - these are still the best looking intakes for our car

That’s what I thought but unfortunately I did not go through PayPal. the lack of a coherent timeline is what’s bugged me the most but seeing as it’s been almost 1 year (Nov 21) since I paid for my order I’m not hopeful on any real updates. That being said I would be okay if I actually got shipping info this week:/
Update! Something came in the mail today! Invoice paid on Feb 1st.
It did take being rude a few times. I ended up telling them that if I did not have a tracking number within 2 weeks, that I would be requesting a refund via PayPal. I received my UPS tracking in a week.
To anyone reading this in the future weighing their options, I’d probably suggest IMR instead.
