Does the JB4 have data logging capability's? Are the tune files adjustable? I have used Big Stuff and Fast engine management on previous cars. I'm really nervous about doing an E85 tune and not being able to data log to see if I'm running lean. I don't want to run a A/F or FP gauge. What are the target A/F ratio's on the tunes? What size injectors are in the GT? Fuel pump? Sorry for all the questions.

I believe on map 6 you can adjust boost per gear per rpm. There are also settings for WMI (methanol) and a charge-pipe-injection kit (@Terry@BMS WHEN WHEN WHEN? :-) and a way to plug in the ethanol sensor, IIRC.

But you can't really tune like with ecutek or anything. There are a few ECU tunes / tuners available as well, but I don't know if are doing custom tunes yet: Tork, Pressertech, Blood Orange, KaganTuned. Did I forget any?

With stock setup, I believe we run out of fuel around E50 - if you run E85, you'll get HPFP pressure crash, and it'll reset to map 0 or something. There are bigger pumps on Khartunerz, but, from what I've heard, you still can't get much past E50 due to injectors.. However, I haven't heard specific numbers about injector sizes.

Thanks! Lots of good info. Was confused, it said in 1 place looking for 10:1 AF and another place 10:9 under heavy load. How far can you go before the stock TQ tables in the trans have to be played with? I used to tune Mustangs and when you get around 650rwhp you had to start massaging the tables, I was using SCT software. I'm guessing nothing like that for Stingers.

Went right to ecuteks site only to find they don't have anything for Kia! Would be nice to be able to change injectors, trans functions etc... The SCT software would let you change almost anything, cam timing, injectors, PIDs on fuel pumps almost all transmission functions, all MAF functions etc.... Not sure I will need all that but nice to know if I decide to get crazy I can. Thanks for the info!

Tuning on the Kia platform is still a bit of a black art. You have piggyback systems like JB4 and Lap3. Terry has done fantastic work with the JB4 and you can go quite far with that.
There are a small handful of shops doing ECU tunes, but it requires directly pinning into the processor. There's several threads on here about the process, one guy did a semi-DIY on getting started. The big problem is the system hasn't been fully documented/cracked, so it's up to the tuner to manually manipulate the ROM. Tork has done a ton of work and posted interesting stuff here and on his facebook on his progress.
The fastest stinger 1/4 times between piggyback and ecu tune are very close. Folks will argue details (with/without meth, other mods), but as far as I'm concerned, low/mid-11's for a budget production car is f'n crazy.
Sadly, there's nothing like the SCT. I'm using that on my old Lincoln LS and my buddy's blown Town Car. There was hope for a OBD based tuning system last year, but that got real quiet. The good thing is Kia overengineered the drivetrain, so everything responds quite well to the piggyback.

We run the AFR in the low 12s generally, on heavier E85 mixtures higher 12s. Typical direct injection motor.

With the JB4 the vehicle is never aware it's making more power you never hit any torque limiters, fortunately for us the trans more or less maxes out line pressure on the factory tuning.

The world record 1/4 mile with a Stinger is 11.2x, JB4 doing all the tuning, WMI, and some bolt on mods.

Sorry, my bad - I didn't word that well. I meant that "full tuning solutions like ecutek are NOT available at all for the Stinger". I've never used SCT - I used openecu/ecuflash/romraider on my Subaru, and earlier on, Cobb Accessport. Yes, it would be nice if we could get an easy setup like that, my guess is that we may never have that kind of support.

As I said to someone else: if you bought this car expecting to have Mustang/Camaro/Corvette levels of aftermarket support, you bought the wrong car..

11.20 in a 4000lb car with baby turbo's is very respectable. Usually on lightly boosted street cars I normally set max boost AF at 11.90. High 12's..... E85.... @WOT? Has anybody pegged the MAF? Thanks for all the answers and info.
