JB4 Stinger Dyno Testing

T2 is the latest posted file.

Just updated it. Doesn't look like there's any changes in boost levels from the previous version of the firmware.

After:

After reading another forum and seeing this I'm still confused about the changes between the two firmware versions.

Isn’t map 6 custom ? So it wouldn’t show it

Wait I see in corner it says map 2

Yea I'm running map 2. I just realized what you've mentioned. I didn't notice that those are boost levels for map 6. I thought they were the current map level.

I'm going to just go for a quick drive and see what's what. I think this firmware update was supposed to add an extra lb of boost to map 2.

I read that it should .... hopefully you can feel it?!

The user adjustment page is global for all maps, do you would not see any changes there except under firmware version loaded, regardless of what firmware was loaded.

I’m sure you have covered this but regapping stock plugs work or better to get new ? Worried dealer would ask why I would put new plugs in right away and possible deny something

I suggest new Densos since they don't cost much and are a better plug than OEM, but regapping factory plugs down also works. Technically if you do Densos you could keep the factory plugs set at factory gap in the garage, and if anything bad ever happened, put them back in.

Thanks... I’m not a mechanic by any means and not sure if I even have the tools to do it on my own...

Also which plug exactly is it that you recommend

I've mentioned it a few times. There is a link on the JB4 Stinger thread on n54tech.

I still can't wrap my head around how the Stinger is putting down damn near 400 ft.lbs at the wheels. It's odd for them to underrated the torque and not the horsepower.

But I'm really excited for when everything is finalized with the tunes. But that's a ton of low end grunt, perfect for a car of this class. Maybe a set of sticker and wider tires will be needed for those sorts of numbers.

Makes sense, car is really heavy, but feels light on its feet even stock. Most cars in its class are 3L so that extra 0.3L definitely is going to boost low end.

@Terry@BMS

Is map 3 safe to run with stock plugs gapped to .25 and 93 octane fuel?

You'd have to log and evaluate it. If you have the fuel wires it may work well or may not work well.
