I have recently ordered the JB4 for my '19 RWD 2.0T along with the recommended plugs and will eventually ad the Catch can. Would love some feedback from anyone with 2.0T who has already added the JB4.
Any engine issues? Recommendations? Are you satisfied with the add HP/TQ? Any issues with your warranty? Best map for everyday drive? etc.
I am a little nervous about doing anything under the hood to my car. I love my Stinger more than my previous cars which included an Acura TL and a Mustang 5.0.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. - E

Welcome Eric!

I am a fellow 2.0 owner, and have the JB4 installed.

No engine issues for me, but I also only have 3k miles on the car right now. I am very satisfied with the performance, but have not had my car on a Dyno to show any actual increase. I usually keep it on map1 most of the time, and will jump to map2 if I’m looking to push it. A former 2L owner told me they used to daily drive on map3, but I haven’t tried it yet.

As for the warranty, a chip will certainly give the dealership a reason to deny a claim, but the beauty of a piggy back tune means you can just take it off and there is no trace of it being there. NEVER bring your car for service with the JB4 installed.

I would also recommend not using the JB4 until you’ve broken in the engine (600-1000 miles).

Thank you for your reply. Very helpful. I have 6k on my car. Do you feel I big difference in the power. Taking off at a stop light, down shifting on the hwy etc?

You should be good to install and have fun then! And yes I do feel a significant difference. 0-60 times are about 0.5 sec faster than stock (map0 on the JB4).

The downshifting thing doesn’t really change with a turbo tune. All the tune really does is increases the PSI (boost) coming from the turbo. But, more boost, means more oxygen, which means bigger combustion, which means more power!

I would highly recommend the BMS Pedal tuner if you are looking for a more responsive gas pedal. It does nothing to increase performance, but “tricks” the ECU into thinking you’ve pressed the pedal 50% of the way to the floor, when you’ve really only pressed it 25% of the way to to floor. That certainly will make the car downshift much quicker than without. Again, no HP/TQ gains with this mod, but certainly makes the car more fun to drive (in my opinion).

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
