JB4 Stinger 1/4 mile testing ~12.4@115.

We're weighing the options here. Not too much. One idea is to raise it to $429 and leave the fuel wires as an add on, because not everyone will need/want them. Another option is to include the wires, but come in higher say $449 or $479.

Even at $479 I think the Stinger JB4 offers a host of features and and tuning options no other system can currently match. And systems coming out that look like they might be able to compete with the JB4 at least technically, are likely to be much higher priced.

Thanks Terry, I agree with having two options might be best. One with and without the fuel wires .

BTW here a launch log from the run, if anyone is curious how the data side of "launch mode" looks like.

What are the big dips? The ECU limiting how much boost/how high the RPMs are when using launch control?

That run most likely isn't from a track. He uses the draggy GPS system.

From the reviews I've seen on Amazon it's pretty accurate and many people have verified the times against track slips.

@Terry@BMS how was traction? Think the time would be lower on a properly prepped track?
I researched draggy as well and the ETs seem very accurate but trap speeds run high unless they fixed this. Drag strips ave the last 60 feet for trap speed and draggy is/was taking the speed at the end of the 1/4 mile.

Yes that was updated in Jan of this year. The faster you go the harder it is to keep accuracy. Check out this side by side run from a 140mph larger turbo BMW 335.

Getting a bit quicker. Our rough prototype intake added around .1th/1mph, so far.Screenshot_20180815-205720.webp

Excellent stuff Terry, keep it up!

Awesome! Great to see more confirmation that intakes really do make a measurable difference.

So these results are from a basically stock RWD Stinger using Map 5(6psi?) with 5gal of E85 and just new intakes? Is your prototype intake a SRI or CAI sealed design?

Terry, thanks again for all the updates and further tests. Keep up the great work!

JB4, fuel wires, around 18psi peak but tapers towards redline. Will be working on reducing taper to see if it has any effect. 30% E85. Denso 5346 plugs gapped at 0.022".

On the intake testing different setups as we decide how to move forward with our design in an already crowded marketplace, so can't share any details on it, yet. Other than to say there is at least a 10-15whp gain to be had with a good intake design. :)

Glad I got in at $220.

A lot harder to explain $479 to the wife.

$220!! Dang lucky lol, I would buy two at that price one for me and one for my buddy haha.

Love watching progress on this platform.

Lol. It was the only reason I bought it. I hadn't even thought of tuning the car until then. Now I'm hook. Been balls to the wall since I installed it!

Yep the first 20 or so to take a chance on us all those months ago were nicely rewarded. :)

Nice, just got mine this past weekend :)

Enjoy! Nothing like that 1-4k RPM pull. It makes the car run like mad without even going WOT. I love the effortless accelration of map 2.

Can't wait for more ppl to test out map 3 to see if it's stable with plain ole 93 octane. I think that would signal the end to my speed modifications.

Sorry meant my car lol, still looking at tuning options. Poor after my clear bra coating and JT package lol

Ahh, gotcha. Well I definitely recommend JB4. Even at the full price it's worth it. You can dial in whatever boost you want, modify the AF ratios, control it all with your phone, and more.

It's the best performance mod I've bought for my car thus far.

Ah man, no map 2 on 91? That's all I can get here. Downsides of living a mile in the sky I guess, lol.

At higher elevation map2 may work fine on 91, I run map2 on 91 where I'm at. Let's see a JB4 log on map1 and map2 to compare and evaluate for you.

@Terry@BMS it looks like I am going to be getting the JB4 set up. I would like to get my plugs upgraded first. Would you happen to know the part number for the Denso’s for the 2.0? Cheers
