Was able to sneak out for a couple 1/4 mile test runs on the new Stinger JB4 v3 firmware with fuel control. Test car is 100% stock with around 30% E85 fuel and Denso spark plugs. Weather in the mid 70s. Running our new pretty aggressive map5.

Very pleased with the result! We'll be working on releasing the fuel wires this week and then once done we've got some additional tuning ideas to try to break down deeper in to the 12s.

Why no real slip?

Whatever app this is showing a trap of 115, which is extremely nice. Is this app calibrated/verified for accuracy by a 3rd party?

Show me a real track slip without 20% extra ethanol.

That run most likely isn't from a track. He uses the draggy GPS system.

From the reviews I've seen on Amazon it's pretty accurate and many people have verified the times against track slips.

@Terry@BMS how was traction? Think the time would be lower on a properly prepped track?

Nearest track is a 4 hour round trip and rarely open during the summer, so we use the dragy GPS system: dragy - GPS Based Performance Meter - Free Shipping in USA

It's quite accurate as has been proven by many side by side track runs. Just a couple examples:
N54Tech.com - Your Source for International Turbo BMW Racing Discussion - View Single Post - Move over VBOX, Dragy is here!

Anyway, point was not to claim our car is impressively fast. Just to let customers know the new JB4 maps are rolling out and results look really promising! :)

Why would I run an E85 map without the E85? lol. When I burn this gas out I'll retime on 93 octane, map2, for comparison.

Bit of spin, but the launch control system is so limiting. I think with better traction easily another .1ths in the 60', which would get the ET down around .2ths.

@Terry@BMS I wasnt trying to call you out, I was just ignorant to the dragy system, as it seemed to.... good to be legit/accurate.

I did some research, as my local track in PA also sucks for TnT, the dragy seems well received, and pretty damn accurate with slips/dragy comparisons being posted in the various communities.

You have earned yourself a customer as I just ordered one for myself. I was curious as I saw mention of an 18/20hz version, but I was unable to find those for sale.

They are working on a 20hz system, but it hasn't been released yet. Will be a little more expensive and since precision is already really good as is not sure it's going to be worth it. There is the general perception that higher speed means more accurate, which isn't entirely true in this case, but people are willing to pay more for it. We'll offer it once they release it along side the existing model.

WOW that is a fast trap speed for the e.t.! Looking like the surge up top is gonna be monstrous once dialed in! :)

Terry, I just placed my order for the whole kit including the fuel control wires, bluetooth and the Dragy. Will post some runs with the dragy once I get everything installed, hopefully next week.

Awesome! You're going to love it!

Good timing too as we'll be raising the price soon. :)

I checked out the video for the fuel control. It doesn't seem to be as easily reversible as the JB4 by itself. Am missing something or will it be a PITA to uninstall/reinstall if the car needs to go to the dealer?

You already have a JB4 and are adding the fuel control or you purchased the fuel control with JB4.

Care to show us all a before and after fuel control run with map 2?

*Edit. Nevermind. I went ahead and got the dragy from Amazon and about to buy the wires from Terry. Do you know of the kit comes with posi taps?

Takes 15 seconds to remove. Unscrew posi-tap, O2 sensor sleeving slides back over pin hole, good to go. The fuel wires themselves stay attached to the JB4 when you remove it, of course.

How much is the price going up! I won’t be purchasing for a few months :(

We're weighing the options here. Not too much. One idea is to raise it to $429 and leave the fuel wires as an add on, because not everyone will need/want them. Another option is to include the wires, but come in higher say $449 or $479.

Even at $479 I think the Stinger JB4 offers a host of features and and tuning options no other system can currently match. And systems coming out that look like they might be able to compete with the JB4 at least technically, are likely to be much higher priced.

Glad I got in at $220.

A lot harder to explain $479 to the wife.
