JB4 Review

Question: What program do I use to view the logs? I'd like to verify the fuel sensors are operating correctly.

I am very happy with the JB4 performance increase. Have run map1 @ 91 octane and map2 at 95 octane so far. Map2 is definitely the way to go if you have access to 93+ octane.

Going to get my Tork catch cans installed tonight (they are very well built!) and do some pulls on map3 to see how that goes with the 95.

GT1
Borla S-Type Catback
Injen Intake
HKS m45il gapped at 0.25

Soooooo for those of us that can't read The Matrix what does that mean?

Lmao :rofl: well you can zoom in and see the numbers I do believe but just showing different things like boost and air fuel ratio among other things that maybe Terry can glance at and tell me if he sees anything.

And for those that never look at this before including me up until like a month ago when I got my jb4 I'll brake down what I can . Probably mostly incorrect about most of the stuff I'm about to say but hay feel free to correct me
ECU psi is the boost that the computer is calling for
Target is the difference between what the ECU sees and what the jb4 is asking for
Boost is what the car boost is actually at
Pedal obviously what percent the gas pedal is at
Iat is intake air temp
Fuelen I don't know haven't figured that out yet
Ign 1 short for ignition assuming only bank 1 or cylinder 1 able to see dont know what numbers are good or bad
And last I'm going to mention is AFR air fuel ratio I know that really important I think between 11-12 are the sweet spots at wide open throttle and higher mean lean so not enough fuel and lower numbers mean rich so too much fuel and once again not a professional so take what I just said with a grain of salt just a little info for those of use new to this like me

No reason to post that as I can't open it in the JB4 interface to view it. :)

How do I upload the file website says it's too large

Might have to post it on his forum or email it to him.

You can post to n54tech in the Kia thread. We allow large CSV files to be attached there.

Just got the plugs and JB4 installed! Plugs weren’t too bad, just follow along with the video.

I updated to the most recent firmware but is there anything else I have to do? I’ll make logs to check that everything is working.

You can also select a map in the top right corner. (If using a laptop. Not sure how to do it on the app). If you bought the fuel control wires you can adjust the values in the screen with the map 6 info on it (again, for laptop users).

Other than that just enjoy it.

Around the 40s here for how to change maps with app. :)

The weather finally allowed me to install the HKS plug and the jb4. I am just running map 1, didn't hook up the fuel wires yet.

I love the extra kick this gives! The wife was in the passenger seat staring at her phone and I kept snapping her neck back. She got annoyed and ruined my fun.
