Just had my JB4 tuner installed. Picked it up from the shop today. Nothing but problems. So frustrated right now. Hoping somebody can help.
1. The sport mode no longer works. I can flick it into sport mode, but it has no effect on the gear selection, nor the speed with which gears are changed. Shows that I am in sport mode, but behaves like I am in comfort mode.
2. Launch control no longer works at all. I put it in sport mode, remove all of the traction control features, take off the auto stop, hold down the brake, brake torque it, and sit there like that for 30 seconds without the launch control icon showing up. I launch this thing all the time. Not anymore. Possibly related to the non-functioning sport mode?
3. Throttle response is now completely abysmal. Smash down the accelerator, and nothing happens for like three seconds. Or I should say next to nothing. The car moves forward similar to a 2006 Toyota Prius. For about three seconds. It’s almost like turbo lag, but no turbo on the planet takes that long to spool up. Never did that before. Absolutely maddening. And to be sure, once it does kick into gear, the acceleration can be very nice. But I can’t even get the rear wheels to brake loose anymore. That’s how crazy this is.
4. I bought the app today, and now tonight all of a sudden the app display just did a mirror reverse image. Everything is backwards. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I saw one other forum where somebody had this happen and they just deleted the app and reinstalled it. Not really excited about deleting and reinstalling my $30 app.
I have a 2019 stinger GT2 RWD. The mods I’ve made include a Borla cat back exhaust, Stance SF10 wheels, 275 rear tires, and simultaneous with the insulation of the JB4, the following: Ark 2 1/2 inch cat-less down pipes, cold air intakes, oil catch can, and high-performance spark plugs.
