Running map 1 with 91 Shell all day with no issues. Then after a WOT pull I get CEL and all the safety modules saying to check them. I recently installed EWG wires and a new masterchip 2580 months ago with no issues until now. My map 6 setting are all default except for fuel bias set at 122 and FF/waste gate set at 55. Perhaps the ff/waste gate at 55 caused it to overboost? Sorry don’t have a log but I do have the codes.

Post up a JB4 log and lets see if anything stands out as problematic.

Here’s a log of me trying to replicate the issue after but didn’t go into limp mode. There are slight overboost where it goes over maybe .3 boost over target would that be a problem?

These are the codes I got when it went into limp mode again couldn’t catch it on a log tho. The first time it went into limp mode months ago I also got CEL for no oxygen sensor activity/signal as well since JB4 fuel wires are tapped in but didn’t get that CEL this time only turbo related codes. Perhaps that narrows is down to something with the EWG wiring?95A6E3EB-7AF7-4FBD-A942-F96D7C72DA9F.webp

I'd need to see sustained full throttle, like 40-90mph, on a safe private track.

Faults are related to EWG connectors or wiring. You can just revert those to factory to confirm.

Thanks for the help Terry and I think I figured it out. When installing the EWG wire I made the mistake of not putting the wires through the rubber grommet of the JB4 therefore pinching them in the process. The rubber insulation was torn and the wire was exposed shorting it to ground. Going to cut the wires and run them through the rubber grommet and rewire them since depinning the pins are a hassle then see if the car goes to limp mode again.

Cut and re-soldered the EWG wires and was running great until it happened again. Couldn’t catch a log since I thought I fixed the problem but did not throw a CEL. Now that I’m thinking about it I haven’t had any issues with the JB4 until I updated the firmware from v22 T4 to v24 T1. Did this firmware add more sensitive safety parameters maybe? Also what is the email for support?
