I installed my jb4 with mobile and followed the directions and videos. Everything went great until I started the car and tried to connect. It says no device found. I am using an old phone, nexus 6 with android. Is that the problem? I checked all the connections and everything is fine. Location services are enabled for the jb4 app. Any advice?

Thanks

When that happens which is not very often I just shut everything down for half a minute or so and it usually kicks right in on the next try. I also have an old phone sumsung 5. But since you just hooked up perhaps something is nfg. Good luck.

I tried restarting everything. No luck. I guess it is time to get a new phone. Lol

If it doesn't connect after restarting the phone and powereing down car for 10 min then email a photo of the adapter placement to support@jb4connectkit.com for assistance.

Thanks for the reply Terry. Problem solved. Figured it was my old phone. The app connected fine on my wife's phone, apple xr. Had to buy the app again but didn't mind. Just my old phone.

I am also having this problem - 2020 Stinger GT1 RWD. Bought the JB4 + Bluetooth via Tork Motorsports over a year ago and it's been working fine until I upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S21 to a Google Pixel 6 Pro and now it doesn't work. Only difference I can tell is the Pixel is Android 12...does JB4 not work on Android 12? I can't really downgrade the phone OS because that's what came installed so, that really isn't an option. I've cleared all bluetooth devices from JB4 app, restarted phone...nothing.

The car battery took a hit during the last cold snap here in Houston and the car had to be jumped a few times to get to the dealership to have them replace it, but no other real changes have been done. So....car definitely has been "powered down" longer than 10 minutes lol...but yeah, what else can be done to check what's going on?

in order for the JB4 to work on Android 12 you need to become a tester. had the same issue this resulved my problem.

You know I don't remember the process with It had to uninstall the JB4 and then reinstall after becoming a beta tester I'm on a Google 5 Android 12 and I just know it worked after that.
also you want to connect through the app not through your Bluetooth on your phone

Tried that, still nothing other than now my phone battery is being clobbered to death. I've lost 29% in an hour of my phone sitting on a table doing nothing....and still can't connect :(

FWIW - got with support and turns out my module died. Got a new one sent out within days everything works fine again.

Sounds like I may have the same problem. Did yours start not working sporadically for a few days then just stop? My actual jb4 seems to be still functional but I can't connect to my phone. Tried everything

Honestly not sure, shortly after getting it in I had the spark plugs installed so I could push it to map 2 and then re-checked the connection for months. I brought it into Kia for them to do some warranty work in December on the rear window (window stopped working randomly) and I tried to put it in valet mode and it didn't connect, but I kinda forgot about it honestly. I just wrote it off as "oh it's my new phone, I need to probably update something" and left it at that.

Then, about a month ago when I was at a Cars & Octane meet and tried to connect to mine to show someone else who was looking to buy one and it wouldn't connect. After that was when I started doing all the normal troubleshooting stuff - toggling bluetooth on and off, disconnecting car battery for 10 minutes, forgetting all devices from inside the app, updating the phone, updating the app, joining the beta, re-updating the app, uninstalling and re-installing fresh the app....everything but buying the app on a second phone to test it out. Then I came here, which redirected me to n54 forums, who then redirected me to the support email - and those guys were awesome. Super quick, didn't waste time asking unnecessary questions (meaning they actually read the initial update which is rare in customer service nowadays), and within a day or so I already had the UPS tracking info for the new module and it was at my door a couple days later.

I do feel as if the car definitely was still running map 2 the whole time I was without connection though - when I reconnected everything, it loaded right back into map 2 without any issues and the car definitely feels the same.

JB4 always remains on the last map selected regardless of the app connection.

I started having this same problem today. iPhone 13. Brand new jb4. Uninstalled app and reset everything. Sometimes it connects for a short time then it disconnects. Sometimes doesn’t connect at all. Wtf!!

I’m having the exact same issues as you. What do you mean new module.? Did they send you a whole new JB4 or the Bluetooth connector?
