Jb4 and accessories on the way (questions beforehand)

So I have my jb4 with bluetooth, Denso plugs, and a bms catch can all arriving on Monday!!! Is there anything I need to know about the install/set up of the jb4 and anything that comes with it?

Also how hard is it to install the catch can? id like to do as much as I can on my own.

The car only has 1500 miles on it, i would like to run my stock plugs for a good while if possible to get the life out of them, then drop in the gapped densos a little later on. As long as I keep it on mostly map 1 should that be a problem??

I’ve been running on map1 with stock plugs and gap. No problem so far. I have denso gapped already if the stock craps out on me.

Why not do it the other way around? Go ahead and drop your new gapped plugs in so that way you don’t have to keep it “mostly” on Map 1. And keep your stock plugs in your toolbox in case you ever decide to go back to stock.

Catch can is easy to install.

Do the plugs, don't half-ass your JB4.

You can regap the stock plugs and use them first or once the densos wear out (if you're trying to save $).

Put the Denso's in and don't wait. $60 for a set of plugs even if you were to do it every 10K miles is nothing.

Okay ill do that then. I see a lot of different suggestions for gap. Which specific one do you all suggest I go with?

"We suggest the Denso 5346 high performance spark plugs for all factory and tuned 3.3L applications gapped to 0.022"

This is what I have mine set at. I have about 5000 miles on mine and no issues.

Depends on the fuel I'm running. If I run just straight 93 octane then I will run map 1 and map 2. If I run 93 octane with e85 mix (for me 5-6 gallons is perfect e30 mix) then I'm good for map 3 which is what I daily drive on. I will switch to map 4 for Mexico things. If you don't have e85 gas near you then Boostane is what other guys use for map 3/4. I personally have no experience with Boostane as I'm lucky enough to have pump 93 and e85 near me.

yep, check the label on the pump to see what percentage the e85 actually is. for example my e85 here in southern missouri is actually e70 per the label on the pump so i have to use a bit more to get that e30 ratio. here is the website i use to get the exact mix. stinger has a 15.9 gallon tank so base your calculations on that. super easy!
