Jalopnik "Stinger won't be terribly cheap"

The comments in this article are hilarious. This car is really hitting some nerves...some people just aren't ready for this car to be a hit and run toe-to-toe with the big name cars. I did find this nice gem though in the comments.

Kia Stinger Colors.webp

In regards to the comments - yeah - people are definitely not ready to admit Kia isn't the cheap brand it was years ago... Oh well. Too bad for them...

It took me awhile to put aside brand preferences, now I just focus on the quality and value of a car. I went from driving Infiniti G35/G37/Q50 coupes and sedans to my current 2016 Genesis, and I love it. However, I'd rather have the sportier Stinger GT AWD when my lease ends next year. It looks d@mn good and if it's under $45k, I'll be all over it.

It won't be loaded, but you will almost certainly be able to get the turbo v6 for under $45k.

Yeah, I don't see that to be a problem. Considering a fully loaded V6 GT is supposed to be under $50k...

Fully Loaded Optima: $37,335*
Fully Loaded Cadenza: $45,290*
Fully Loaded K900: $68,850*

I think the consensus for Stinger ranges is as follows:

2.0 will be 27,000 - 39,500
3.0 will be 35,000 - 49,500

The K900 is throwing me off, I had no clue it would be so close to $70k  The base model for the K900 comes in at 49,900...does it make sense for the highest spec Stinger to hit at that number?

The price of the K900 must have come down because it used to price at over $70,000.
