That is pretty much MSRP - lease cash & incentives with a minimal discount. But yes the 2.0Ts are not really moving. It would be way easier to get a big discount on a 2.0 than a 3.3.

We've sold a handful of 3.3s but have yet to sell our first 2.0T. We even have A SWP base on sale with a $1900 discount but no bites.

Yeah, it seems that they aren't moving fast in my area. I'm probably buying a Premium this summer (Perhaps a GT1 if a deal is to be had). Hopefully the trend continues.

Seem like not much marketing outside of the Superbowl ad
I've certainly never seen a commercial for it.

The vehicle I posted up top is now cheaper than my used Optima is selling for.

I hate to say it, but it's not a surprise to me that the 2.0 models aren't selling. The exterior styling isn't nearly as nice or aggressive looking as the GT and the engine, while powerful, just isn't the V6. People buying the Stinger want the power...people not interested in that are buying Optimas or Fortes and saving money.

Prices are starting to fall. The closest dealership to me has had the same three 2.0 Stingers in stock for a month.

Autotrader shows eleven 2.0 Stingers selling for under $29k within a 500 mile radius of my zip. I wonder if Kia is having trouble moving them. February's sales numbers should be interesting.

Prices are beginning to fall, but Kia Dealers must also pay for interest on cars they take in from day one (called "Floor Plan Financing").

Thus, if the Stingers have been sitting on the lots for a while, they are only becoming MORE expensive for the dealer to unload, not cheapr. Sure, if a purchase, the dealers have $750 to work with right now but that's not much.

Thus, I can only assume dealers are waiting for KMF's National Stinger Dealers programs. The current one's end at the end of this month (February). I can only assume Kia may turn out a $1,000 Factory to Consumer cash/rebate on 2.0 models... We'lll see...

In fact, maybe @Dave Miller of Power Kia can chime in. Just a hunch, but I'm guessing he knows what is typical in the cycle of KMF programs and can pretty much lay a good finger on what's next for March/April?

It would also be interesting to know what total percentage of 2.0's vs V6s are being shipped to the U.S. and how that compares to other countries that also are receiving both motors (no offense to our Canuck cousins!)

307 4-bangers (148 base/159 prem), 186 bad boys (48 GT's/18 GT1's/120 GT2's).
Thanks for the hard numbers! In your specific area, I can see why many trim levels might start getting prices lowered. Springtime may change that somewhat as overall car purchases increase with better weather. Any chance you have access to the number already sold in the same area? :)

The 500 mark has been broken (502), if you can't get $ off the sticker now I dunno what to tell you.

I just keep watching cars.com each week (no mile limit set for my zip code) and see how many more 3.3's they get in. The numbers go up each week and have yet to go down much at all. The 2.0 numbers are crazy high and have not budged.

I mentioned this in another post at the end of last year. In Korea, Kia projected to sell 80% 2.0T and 20% of the 3.3TTs of the Stinger at launch. However, after 6 months of sale, they sold 40% 2.0Ts and 60% of the V6s. I'm sorry but I can't find the source anymore.

I have seen probably 15-20 Stingers in the wild since I started paying attention at the beginning of Dec, and all have been the 3.3TTs. I can't confirm if they are all in fact 3.3TTs but they all have the 19" GT rims, which can also be had with the "dream edition" (launched about 4 months after launched in Korea), or the "premium" with "Extreme package".

The moral of the story is, the 3.3TT has been doing much better than expected. Heck, the Stinger has been doing much better than Kia anticipated. They also projected to sell 8,000 Stingers locally in 2017 and 12,000 in 2018 in Korea alone.

They also projected to sell 2,000 Stingers locally in 2017, but I think they sold well over 8,000 in an article written in November. I vaguely remember Kia wanted to sell 12,000 Stinger worldwide in 2018.
And let's not forget those January sales numbers that came out for the US. For a car that had been out one month, it was keeping pace with the 4 series.

I think the way @BarryLI is gauging it isn't entirely accurate. More and more inventory is coming as Stingers are sold. Same thing happened with the new Mustang shortly after it launched. It's been 3 months since launch and dealers are getting up to speed as is marketing. Plus, it's the dead of winter...not a great time to buy a RWD sports car :p

I agree, I also understand where @BarryLI is coming from.

I feel that, at least for the US, buyers of a brand new car model can tend to be 'enthusiasts' with good knowledge of cars in general, probably same as the Mustang. It's the mass market that will make or break the model. I also suspect the general public will buy more 2.0 models. We gotta wait for a full year to really judge how well/poor the Stinger has been selling.
