I just noticed getting gas that there is what appears to be black tape on the door and window trim but not the hatch? And there appears to be trim under the black tape? Should I just peel it off?IMG-8534.webp IMG-8535.webp IMG-8536.webp

it was a demo. I will take it off. Thank you for the help.
give all the chrome a quick once over with a cleaner wax , it will remove any spots and then protect it from water spots etc ...........all the major car care brands have it , Megs , Mothers etc

Yeah - it a protective cover, static cling vinyl.

I left mine on by accident for way too long after I got my car.

Same here. I didn't notice it, because I get in and out of my car in a carport and the light is iffy. The black tape didn't stand out. Then one day I was washing my car and noticed it for some reason. Then I started going over the car looking for more "tape" and plastic. I've been finding pieces ever since. The most recent piece I saw was last week (after over fourteen months of ownership): a sliver of white stuck between the top grill and bumper. :D

I just noticed that I still had mine on my car (2 months old) looks like the dealership didnt know about it either ...

I had my tape on the driver’s side but not the passenger side for about 8 months. It started to peel one day or I would have never noticed it. My back trunk lid trim is discolored where all of the other trim is fine. I need to get it replaced.

I've had my 33s on for awhile, and primarily due to laziness, I never really worried about the left over residue from the shipping tape on the tires, but it is starting to bother me, especially after I washed my car, and the tires looked like blah. Any thoughts on what is safe to use to get this nonsense off? I have Goof-Off, but I don't want to corrode the tires or anything, so I'm looking for the safest and most effective product for removing this crap off my tires. Thanks in advance, guys. :salute:

All car cleaning companies - e.g. Griot's, Chemical Guys - have dedicated tire cleaning products. But I'd try soap and water and a brush first. Be patient.
