Is there a center cap insert that can replace the plastic cap on the wheels?

Wondering if there is an insert that would lock into the center hole of the rim. I actually don't mind seeing the bolts and I'm not crazy about the plastic faux center lock cap they use.

My kia branded winter rims do have a black center cap that snaps in but it doesn't quite fit right on the stock wheels.

Has anyone found anything that works?

These are the center caps from the black alloy kia branded winter rims. They don't have deep enough locking pins and they are a bit too large as well.

I know the color is off, but wont the regular center cap work? Maybe plasti-dip it?

Your answer could be in the ad banner atop every page (I've looked into this in the past as well).

I saw that too but given my car has 19" wheels, i wonder if they will fit. I saw caps like that on ebay that say "For 18" wheels, will not work for 19" and they are listed as having a diameter of 63mm which I believe is too big

The ones here have this disclaimer:

And the 19" wheels have the grey star piece that covers them. going to the link provided just connects with the plastic overlays.

They won't fit the 19" version of the OEM wheels. Been there done that. I never did find a center cap for the 19" wheels. I gave up the entire idea since I only use the 19" for winter now.

I should add I haven't bought these personally, but there is this picture at the site and it also notes that it can fit the 19" wheel. Maybe @Kia Stinger can comment.

I looked at that. If you read the please note section at the bottom, the 19" wheels have the star cover, clicking the link takes you to replacements for those.

Yea I assumed that's in reference to if you want to replace the star cover for an E instead of just the center caps

I bought the "E" center caps that fit the 18" wheels. I was going to use them for winter wheels, but despite being the same diameter as my aftermarket wheels, the prongs underneath are smaller and they don't work. I have the "E" "starfish" or "center lock" covers as well. I took one off today and the 18" center caps look like they would fit. I didn't push it all the way since I didn't want to remove the wheel to get it off, but I am 99% sure they would work on the 19" wheels.

I tried the caps as well from my winter wheels and while they fit in the socket, as you pointed out the retaining pins are not long enough to click into place. I expect if you hit a pothole, they would pop right out.

Like I said I think OEM Part 52960J5300 (the one in the second post) might work. It will definitely fit, not sure how secure it would be. I am going to try it next time I take my stock summer wheels off.

Perhaps some silastic, or similar, might keep them in place.

I checked with Sal here and he confirmed that the caps will indeed fit into the 19" rim socket. (He also offered to take them back without issue if they don't which is great). I ordered a set this morning. If they fit well, it's a nice alternative look the the starfish plastic cap.

Just an FYI I have these same center caps, have had them in for over a year and haven't lost one driving over train tracks regularly as well as hitting the occasional pot hole.

Ok got the caps from the store here today.

The good news is that they definitely fit, they lock in nice and tight. They also btw fit perfectly in the Kia stock black winter rims as well (And I will definitely put them on those rims in the winter).

The only downside that the E emblem piece is mounted on a beige plastic backing and clips. You can see the beige edge when they are inserted. However, it's an easy fix with some black paint . I also taped over the emblem section and gave it a first coat. Will put on a couple more and try them again.

Hey I enjoy exposing my nuts :)

Plus the E logo is chrome so it might not be a bad look

My winter set probably came with black ones too but they were nowhere to be found in car when I got it.

Is there any specific set that needs to be purchased for the stock rims? Also do they scratch easily?

Did you check your spare tire area.. or below that where mine where/are... Mine are not scratched... yet,. but a black paint pen will fix it when the time comes

I believe they may be dependent on the wheel seat - might be best to check with a wheel & tire shop, I'm no nut expert lol

I checked everywhere. This car was in storage underground for 16 months before I got to it. The winter rims were piled in the back. Honestly I'm surprised other stuff wasn't missing.

Painted the edges and inserted them. I think they look pretty good.

I also got the GT sticker for the stock caps if I decide to put them back on
