Hello folks

Yesterday, I had coilovers installed.

I don't like the slammed to the ground look and I want to be able to enter underground parkings or go over bumps without having to worry so I asked for "not too low", but I can't stop thinking that it looks too high.

What do you guys think? If you would lower it further, by how much would you lower it?

IMO not too low but I would wind the front down a few notches so that it sits lower. But, beware of driveways etc...lol.

I would go a bit lower all the way around, say 15-20mm, currently looking at your gaps between wheel arches & tyres it almost looks to be standard height.

That looks similar to stock height, it could certainly go a bit lower.

Looks too close to stock from the pictures. I personally would go about an inch or 2cm lower if I could.

Needs to get lowered by 20mm.

How are the KW?

Looks stock, 20mm would be visually better imo.

Thank you all for your opinions.
It seems everyone agrees and I need to lower it more.
When you guys say 20mm, do you mean 20mm more from the current state? 20mm from stock? or 20mm of wheel house gap?
(Sorry I'm noob)

I am currently not satisfied with the settings, so I will readjust them. I will give my final opinion once the settings are properly made. :)

I think 20mm from the wheel arch. Your KW V3's are height adjustable so perhaps go to the lowest setting and start from there until you get the look and ride that suits. L

Honesty it looks higher than stock.

Measure your fender to ground height. I’m at 26.5”
How can it be higher than stock?
I attached a picture of stock to be able to compare, and to my eyes it does look lower than stock. (not by a large margin though)

I will measure the fender to ground height and let you know.
BTW, your car looks perfect. :geek:

The darker lighting on the 'stock' photo doesn't help, but to me it looks like it is slightly lower after the change. I think it looks good as is, with the the tires well centered in the wheel openings. I wouldn't lower it any further.

You have a lot of room to go lower. I'm lowered a little over an inch on Eibach springs and have taller than stock tires and my car has never bottomed out (knock on wood) nor do the tires rub. Crank it down.

I would say 15-20mm more than the current setup. That should make the wheels almost completely fill the wheel wells.

Just measured: 26.77"

Not much of a difference, are your tyres of greater outer diameter than stock?

It's funny, but in the first side pic it looks higher, almost too high; in the second pic it looks perfect. The wheel well pics look fine to my eye also. Judging by how the bottom clears, it looks low enough to me.

Oh, well that explains why I saw lower in the second pic. It is lower. :D

Personally, with your 19" wheels and seeing how it currently sits now, I would do an additional 20 mm drop. That would be perfect for me. However, since you don't want to worry about speed bumps and scraping going up driveways, I would only lower it an additional 15 mm. That would sit pretty well and look great.

It is lower than stock. However I agree that you could lower it a bit more. The 20mm that has been suggested seems appropriate.

Right now it seems that the wheel house gap is:

Front: 38mm
20190502_025609.webp

Rear: 31mm

So I think I will lower the front by 15mm and the rear by 10mm, considering that the suspension may lower itself by few additional millimeters over the weeks.
