I assume the first answer from Terry will be to post some logs, so I'll record some today and add to this thread. I'm mainly wondering because my car pops and burbles a ton at lower RPM's when slowing down and from my cars in the past, that was usually a big sign that my car was running too rich. The AFR does seem to be a bit rich (often being 14-15+). There is also a ton of black soot in exhaust, although I'm sure that could be related to design of GDI?

Is there a way with JB4 MAP 5 to make it run leaner? Is it by design?

PS... fuel is still E30. I'm buying a Fuel It kit on the 10th.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
14-15+ would be leaning toward lean, not rich?

Damn you're right. So I'm actually running perfectly probably. I'm usually at 14-15 idle and low speed, and high 13's at WOT. Still wondering why all the unburned fuel+popping, but it could just be a non issue.

Do you have an exhaust and secondary cat delete?

If your AFR's are high 13's during WOT then you're running nice and lean, exactly what the JB4 targets for Map 5 (and 7, for that matter).

My vote is that your pops and burbles are just from your exhaust being very open and loud, compared to others. For example, I've got midpipes and a cat-back exhaust, but mine is still relatively quiet compared to pretty much everyone else's here I bet, as mine is a Magnaflow.

On map 5 I notice a tiny tiny eentsy teensy bit of burbles when off throttle, but it's barely there and I doubt anyone else could hear it except for me because I am so tuned to the sounds that my damn car makes. But I bet if I had an MBRP or muffler delete exhaust it would be significantly more poppy and burbly.
