Hello everyone my name is Bill and new to the forum. Just leased a 2020 KIA Stinger GT-LINE. I have been doing a fair amount of research on upgrading the headlight bulbs. I have learned more through trial and error than I have learned on various forums. I have been reading some people want to drill holes or do some kind of modification. With a lease i refuse to do that. I am currently working on finding the the right upgrade. I will keep this forum posted on what I have found. If anyone has found a solution to upgrading the lights without modification let me know. Thanks.

Ah, this is your official intro, then. Howdy, Bill, and welcome. I can't answer any questions about "upgrading" the lights. But if LED isn't an upgrade in performance, why mess with the original design? (you said something about the Halogen being brighter than the four brands of LED you've tried)

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger! What did the Stinger replace for you? I'm glad you found us.

Thanks for the welcome. I didnt know the performance of the LED was going to be bad as it was. Im going to stick with halogens until I figure out if there is a light upgrade that will work on my application.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Just buy the GT lights if you want the GT look. eBay or somewhere for used ones.

General - thanks for the advice, but im not going for the gt look. I just want to upgrade my lighting to something brighter and better performing.

I have no idea for the lights, but I want to offer a welcome. Great place to chat about Stinger. Lots of shared knowledge and even more enthusiasm.

Welcome and congrats. You would think the OEM lights would be bright enough. The GT lights are great.

They are pretty bright for what they are. I'm , say, spoiled by the last few cars I owned. They had either HID or LED. Thanks for the welcome.

If you are interested in LED bulbs - I suggest S-V.4 bulbs. I have seen great results with them. They are probably the best I've seen so far, but there are always limitations with plug and play LED bulbs, especially in headlights like the halogen stinger lights. Also not sure if they require any modification for those lights. I have a GT so I can't confirm for myself.

Ill look into those thanks. The two biggest issues i have been running into is the being able to adjust the bulb 360° and finding a fan circumference 30mm or smaller. I found a brand, LASTFIT, that met all criteria. However, they werent very good as the stock lights were way brighter and shined further down the road.

They are 360° adjustable, but the fan is 39mm, so no dice there. I may dig around and see if there is something else that meets those criteria but is a proper upgrade.

Update on the lights. After a lot of research and trial & error I have a found a set of lights that work perfectly. They are "

Note...an anti-flicker adapter harmess has to be ordered separately. If this is not installed the lights do pulse faintly. When the harness is put in the lights have stabled and no errors.
