Intermittent Power loss

Hello everyone, I've seen this post from 2 years ago but nothing came of it except a Phantom over boost situation from mods. I'm almost positive it is not from mods. I am experiencing a loss of power when I accelerate. It doesn't happen all the time but if my engine is on the warmer side it tends to happen more. When this happens I don't hear turbos spooling but my car will eventually catch up with what's going on but then on my OBD2 plug in gauge I see my engine temp shoot from °1300 to close to °1600. It eventually cools back down but it's kind of odd. Has anybody figured out what this is yet? I've seen this issue a lot but no real diagnosis.
