Really love the red interior and have been limiting my search to red interiors, but I'm also thinking about wrapping MOPAR Plum Crazy Purple or British Racing Green.

Then I realized the car would look like a Christmas tree or it would just clash with the purple and red (up north so cant tint windows very dark).

Think I should look for a more neutral color if I'm going with a crazy non-neutral exterior?

Please stop crowdsourcing decisions that will cost thousands of dollars. Who are you doing these changes for? You or the internet?

Black.

K so has anyone done this? Do they have photos? Does it look like shit?

Thanks for the help cowboy.

British Racing Green pairs best with Saddle or Parchment but that's a whole revamp of the interior. Purple pairs best with black and black pretty much goes with anything. Simplest and easiest solution.

Personally I think the green/red wouldn't be the worst.

What makes a wrap worth it to you? There's a silver stinger for sale right now for a really good deal, except for the fact that its silver. Makes me question if a wrap is worth it.

I really like some of the wraps ... especially the matte wraps. But I wonder about long term wear and care requirements. And I have enough OCD that non-matching paint under the hood, hatch and on the door jambs would bother me. That being said, I have thought hard about wrapping some of my trim pieces in a satin black color as I think it would look sharp on Ceramic Silver.

Not much you can do about the hood area, but you can get all the jams wrapped for not much extra. Lifespan is a big issue though. You drop 3-4k on something that might not last more than 3 years. Plus, damage will result in having to replace an entire panel and it might not match the rest.

As far as repairs goes, I think its a lot easier to get identical wrap. It's just an RGB or hex code. Car matching especially 3-stage paint like Snow White Pearl is even harder.

Also, if for any reason you have to get rid of the car, you either have to pay to repaint it a neutral color or take the ding. Non-neutrals (blacks white silvers grays or dark blues) will take thousands off the cost of the car, as dealers will complain that they can't sell a car that color.

as far as hood/door jamb, I think any black gray or silver would look fine. If the outside is purple or dark green (or other exotic color), i don't think it would bother me that the engine bay is a different color.

It is NOT easy to get an identical match when you need to replace one segment. If you need to buy a new roll and it's not from the same batch as your original, you'll be lucky if it matches.

So same as paint then. Is it common to get extra wrap and store in case you need it?
I was referring to how it fades over time. Paint doesn't fade as quickly as wrap does so it is easier to match if you get in an accident. Keeping an extra roll wouldn't be a cheap option since you'd have to keep enough to cover an entire panel at a minimum.

In summary, wrap is a short term option that is cheaper initially but does come with several drawbacks.

To me, the cost of an extra roll wouldn't be a problem--but I was told that a roll just sitting on the shelf for a year or two loses some adherence qualities.
