So thanksgiving day weekend I put in my Mishimoto intercooler and a set of big months, I was a happy camper then I drove to work and saw something I didn’t. l was stuck in slow moving traffic on a 68 degree day and my intake air temp went as high as 127 degrees but when i the stock intercooler on a 90 degree day in stopped traffic only go as high as 121 degrees. So I’m like WTF could be the issue, any thoughts?

The stock intercooler pipes have insulation coat on them. All aftermarket pipes are just powder coated at the best. They look cooler, but that is about the only benefit. And unless you are pushing lot more boost than stock, bigger diameter is pointless and increases the lag. Put stock pipes back and enjoy colder IAT. They are very efficient and good quality.

While I do have a question and small issue with air temp in slow traffic situations your answer is false as the intercooler is giving me better performance, so saying it’s their just for looks is false as mine as you can see in the pic I did not put a flashy shiny intercooler that stands out to show off. Mine is more of a sleeper I put parts on for performance not looks to show off. When I’m rolling down the road the intercooler does a awesome job temps are a lot lower then stock, stop and go traffic is a different subject and the reason for the post.

IAT when you're hardly moving/not moving isn't as important as when you are on it. You'll notice those temps drop like a rock once you actually start moving and will get a lot closer to ambient than the stock IC will.

People asking questions don't even read the answers. Where did i say anything about intercooler??? Enjoy your performance and don't ask questions

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
So when you were taking about the insulation of the pipes of the intercooler you were not talking about the intercooler? OK
