I'm sure you all have seen the vertical LED daytime running lights being sold that replace the vertical chrome trim on the left and right side of the gt front bumper. Has anyone tried to intentionally remove the chrome color from those trim pieces using acetone or something similar?
The reason I ask is that I assume it is white plastic underneath the chrome trim, and if that is the case, then one could simply strip the chrome color, then glue a white+amber led strip bought for 5$ on ebay behind rather than spending 250$ for a set that replaces the entire plastic trim piece.
