Call insurance brokers in your area and they can give you a quote, you shouldn't get into any car deal without doing it.
Im 52 years old and did it before I got my Stinger...It was reasonable when I bought it but has gone up almost double since then.
35 years driving and 0 accidents...insurance is a grand scam.

Depends on coverage, your area, and your driving history. At 19 though and with recent Kia boys fiasco, I would assume you will get destroyed. Would expect $300+ a month

Get some quotes before you pull the trigger

I have a 19yo son who is on our insurance policy. He doesn't have any accidents or tickets on his record. We switched to State Farm from Allstate earlier this year. Was (at the time, a $200 price difference per month, Allstate wtf?) He lives at home still and is in his second year of college starting this week. We get the good student discount, multiple car, home owners all that bundled in. Mind you, we have full coverage, full glass, roadside and our deductible is 600.

He was driving a 2005 Mercedes e320 4matic. Was 250 a month. We've since sold that money pit and he now drives a 2005 Buick Lacrosse. His ins went down $100 per month so it's $150 now. Not sure where you live but if you are near a bigger city even with no accidents or tickets, it's gonna be expensive. Hell, my ins for the Stinger is expensive imo. When I bought it I was paying $90 a month, now I'm paying $139 per month. They "claim" it's due to rate increases due to insurance claims in my area. Multiple big hail storms, Kia/Hyundai thefts etc....... I live in the burbs but my zip code is a St Paul zip code so I pay more sadly :(

I'm a "mature" driver, but not aarp status. No tickets/accidents/claims.............in at least a decade. Full coverage with $50 comp/$500 coll deductibles, 100/300 on the liability limits.

Switching from a 2015 accord to the stinger back in 2021, rates went from ~$375/6months to $485/6 months. This is with geico.

Last renewal (may), rate was 575/6months. That's about $100/month. If I didn't live in/so close to the ghetto, I'm confident rates would be less, possibly significantly less.

I'm 20 w a gt1 and my insurance (w a 2k deductible) is $371
$2000 deductible WTF? I thought 600 was a lot. Mine used to be $400 with progressive back in the day.

As a guy on the wrong side of 40, when I moved from a G6 to a Stinger my rates almost tripled. The cost of my insurance is about twice that of my wife's for her electric pony.

You're in a GT car which is from a make that has known issues for ease of theft--even if our car is harder to steal than a Rio. The insurance companies don't care and a high rate is basically the cost of doing business.

BOHICA.

I'm 23 in NY with a 23 GT2, statefarm, comprehensive with $500 deductible. $646.87 / 6 mos

Yikes..

I'm 49 . 2018 Gt, 2017 Tundra Trd, 1999 Grand Cherokee , 2005 Fleetwood Evo1 trailer, 2300 Sqft house, 250k health insurance . 500 detuctible on cars 1k on home. Pay less then 120.00 a month for all of it.
I believe its about 675 every 6 months.

In the second largest city in WA.

My stepson is still on my policy, since he can't get affordable insurance (even at 28 years old), but now I find out that last year he got a DUI (he did not bother to tell me). I only find out when I inquire why my rates went up $300/month. They tacked it on the Stinger (which I am the only driver) even though he drives an Optima. I asked why they put it on the most expensive car on the policy and they said that is just what they do.
Now he just last week got in an at fault accident, so I imagine I will have to drop him from my policy, I don't think they will renew me if he is on it.

I’m 52 with no speeding tickets in over 15 years. GEICO raped me when I moved from my Tundra to the Stinger. Full coverage on the Stinger, and just liability on my 2006 Envoy Denali runs me $278 a month. :/

Some of you have great prices. Are any of you in SoCal? I’m 29 and was paying $1700 for 6months. No accidents Full coverage with $500 deductibles, 100/300 on the liability limits

In May they raised it to $2500 with some bs about the industry and California.

insurance on a red stinger for a 20 yr old female is harsh out here :')
Where does "Red" matter?

In Ontario, there is a very strong sexism bias, where twin brother and sister of equal driving records, would see vastly different insurance rates.

But we don't have a vehicular colour bias, yet.

I'm in Minnesota but I think overall in the US, males pay more for insurance than females, especially young men. Obviously as we get older and "IF" you can keep a clean driving record the rates should go down.

I had Progressive for 20+ years up until 2020. No accidents, no tickets. At the time I had an 07 Grand Prix gt supercharged and the 01 Ford Lightning, I was paying $75 a month for both cars combined, it was great. Then I had a downward spiral. We bought a house about a mile away from where we previously rented. Zip code went from 55128 to 55119 (which is a St Paul zip) the ins based on the zip code change alone raised the policy, on top of that, Progressive does their homeowners insurance through a 3rd party company, which, at the time for us was way more expensive than expected.

Then in June of 2020 I crashed/totalled the Grand Prix, bought the Stinger in July, had a glass claim for the front windshield in Jan 2021 (good sized rock hit it on the freeway) kicked up from a dump truck. Feb 2022 got shot at going into work, then while the Stinger was at the body shop getting the rear bumper fixed from the 9mm slug a huge hail storm came through and caused 10k worth of hail damage to the car. On top of that, the hail damaged the rental car I was driving for 2 months, which I also had to submit to my ins cuz I didn't buy the extra ins when I rented the car. At least I was Lucky that the body shop's ins paid for the hail damage on the stinger since they had it parked outside. I love the car, it's been fantastic but my luck since we've moved has been terrible and that's partly why I pay what I do. Went from no claims in 20 years to 3 in a 2 year span.
