I’m looking into getting the Injen intake kit for my Stinger, anyone have this set up or had any experience with it? Has anyone had any backlash from the dealer after the instal of them?

I have a K&N intake and Magnaflow exhaust and don't have any issues with my dealer - I did notice that they put it in the service notes that I had the mods. I had several warranty issues taken care of without any problems and one recently where my car died and had to have it towed in to the dealer and they never brought up my mods and found the issue was a bad injector and replaced it under warranty.

FYI, if you've never had an aftermarket intake they are really loud. When I first installed mine I took it off after about a month because all I could hear was the intake noise and nothing else because the 2.0 is so quiet. A while later I had the magnaflow exhaust installed and it really makes the car sound better, so much so that I reinstalled the intake and overall everything balances out better.

Thank you for the info.

side note, how do you like the magnaflow system? I have a hard time finding 2.0t models with it. I’ve considered that set up for mine but I don’t know how loud it is or anything (the area I live in can get kinda weird over loud cars)

I've reviewed the magnaflows on this forum before but in summary they are a good bit louder than the factory exhaust. Also, it's really important to have the exhaust tips extend beyond the bumper or else you'll have unbearable drone/reverberations in the cabin. Once installed with tips it actually sounds really nice inside, you hear just enough engine rumble and no drone (except really cold days where it's just loud). It's another story on the outside as it's pretty loud. My wife and daughter complain they can hear me coming and going from a mile away and makes the whole house shake when it's in the garage - I think they are exaggerating though. My wife wants me to reinstall the factory exhaust but she never really liked the stinger to begin with. If you live anywhere with sensitive neighbors or family members then it may not be for you.

Here is a link to my review and few threads down are some updates: 2.0T Magnaflow catback before and after video

Awesome video comparison video. Yeah I think the magnaflow system might be a bit to loud for what I’m trying for. I’m looking into the NGM Delta axle back system

Hey, I was thinking about having the MF exhaust installed. Would I have to purchase tips as well to prevent drone?

Yes, tips or have a muffler shop cut off the exhaust tail pipe and weld on a longer pipe like I did. Otherwise the drone is unbearable. After extending the tips zero drone in the cabin, even my daughter who rides in the back seats agree.

@mandasol
I checked out your review and video comparison, I liked that you did the cabin sound as well people usually over look that. Do you by chance have a drive by takes of the Magnaflow system?

No drive by clips. I was planning on getting a buddy to help me but we both got busy then the coronavirus hit, so maybe in the future. I know a guy with a 3.3 that installed a Borla catback so may try to meet up with him and record both for comparison.

Cool! Look forward to something like that in the future. I looked into the NGM Delta axle back from importsharks but the reviews of the site kinda scared me off of that and I can’t really find much else except OBX/Maximizer catback kits but they only have sound clips of 3.3’s so I’m starting to think if I end up doing an exhaust it may be the magnaflow kit. I had one on a RS Camaro I had and it was great but this is a totally different system than that was.
