Nah. The injen has the intakes at the front where the air ducts are. The K&N are farther back. But not a huge difference.

another basic design, different company same stuff. Unless it's a closed box, how can it be called a CAI? When my G was used as an R&D car for an intake (company shall remain nameless), the only time the intake produced gains close to 5hp were when the fan on the dyno was aimed straight at the front of the car. without the fan, there was no increase...looked and sounded good though! lol...

The G was a NA engine, this is my first TT vehicle....so maybe hot air sucked into the intakes for a TT car isn't bad or detrimental to performance??

Per my conversation with Injen earlier today, the intake produces 20hp & 17ft lbs of torque.

Available in 2 colors, wrinkle red, and wrinkle black.

We should have them up on the site this weekend, or first thing next week.

So like the air that would come through the grill when the car was moving?

No, Hood was open and a huge high power fan pumping air in. I don’t think we would get close to that much air through the grill in this car. On the G, the grill is literally an open path from grill to the inside of the engine bay. Injen came up w/ the long tube intakes for that G that placed the filters right behind that grill. Now that was a big gain but long tubes sacrificed low end but hp was gained at the top of the rpm ranges

Impressive numbers - possibly the best I've seen so far if that is on an otherwise stock car. I hope they'll have some dyno charts to post, along with additional product pictures and information. Nothing on their site now, and there is no entry for KIA in their product lookup.

Oh they will I'm sure, they have been dyno testing and producing dyno sheets on most, if not all of the newer intakes they have been releasing.

Nothing on their site now, and there is no entry for KIA in their product lookup.

Nope, nothing for the Stinger or any other parts for 2018 Kia models. However, they do offer parts for Kia in their lineup if you select previous years other than 2018. The intake is not available to order from their site yet, and will be available to order 1st thing next week.

Well once the product is released and members of the community start to install them, I'm sure that will become available. However, you can't get that before the intake is even released.

It's available to order now on our site, and should be ready to ship early this week. The official release from what I understand is between the 23rd and 25th of July.
