Hey yall

I have some questions that need some feedback on . Live in California. Here goes team!

will this CAI hurt my engine long term?

no heat shield? Am I blowing hot air into my turbo?

will this kill my Kia extended warranty?
No oil catch? Any issues with this ?

Nervous about adding this Mod if it will be an issue long term. I plan o driving this car every day

any help or advise would be appreciated

The CAI will not hurt your engine. If your worried about the hot air look at either the AEM or KN as there filter it's surrounded by a box with rubber edging that seals some what against the hood of the car to minimize hot air. The OCC is designed to minimize valve coating, so depending on how long you plan to keep the car, you should install one.

They are illegal in California.

They are all illegal in CA and yet I have them installed lol.

I have them BMS one. Easy to install. No concerns at all. No need to empty the can either.

Any one know if you have to take your car into the dealer ... will they have an issue with these mods ? Warranty rejection?

just trying to cover my basis here in Cali

I would probably go with intakes that are quicker to add and remove at will. Try the BMS intakes or the new Forge Intakes. Both of those models are super simple to remove for service/warranty work/

No, they will not damage your engine. I run the BMS intakes and have taken a bit more of a cautious approach and added pre-filters as well. Mainly because I frequent touchless washes in the winter and didn't like that the filters were getting water on them. I got my pre-filters here: FILTERWEARS Pre-Filters | Protective Air Filter Wraps

What size did you order? 4-5-5? For the BMS filter.

The size I ordered wouldnt help you because my BMS filter size is the old size, they sell them with larger filters now. Im sure BMS would give you the measurements of the filter is you asked them.
