Indigo Edition

I have the a chance to purchase an Indigo Edition, I like what I see. I’ve owned numerous Kia’s of all descriptions, but I’ve never had a Stinger. I raced SCCA for years, and just want to get a sportier sedan. I would like any thoughts or comments. Thanks

Indigo is a great color. It looks different in different lighting which is a cool feature of the paint. The 3.3T motor is robust and a blast to drive. The best thing about the Stinger is the hatch for me. I have gotten so much use out of the body style that I can no longer go back to just a normal trunk with limited space. Lastly, the aftermarket is pretty substantial and checks off the majority of the boxes you need when looking for a way to upgrade or enhance the vehicle.

Had the southern hemisphere's equivalent Deep chroma blue for 46 months. Wouldn't change a thing, absolutely amazing colour changes depending on the light conditions.

The only concerning thing on your Indigo edition is the gaudy brown interior..oh dear we had the same on our ltd edition "Rafa" edition most unpleasant. Our choices were black or red leather until the "Night sky" edition with lovely white leather. That would have been my choice if available to years earlier.

Basically the Indigo edition is a base GT trim in deep chroma blue with some of the GT1 goodies (HK Sound system, larger 8 inch infotainment with Nav, sunroof, ) and the mechanical bits of the GTS D-AWD special edition (Suede-like headliner, D-AWD, rear mechanical LSD, Revised logic for transmission/torquevectoring/and stability control, and Drift mode). The only things i wish we had was the ventilated seats and the rain sensing wipers..

absolutely. although for the regular modes, you'd be able to tell the difference between sport and comfort. going from the 40:60 split to 20:80 split is noticeable in the regular models as well. The biggest upgrade imo, is having the mechanical LSD much more control over the rear under throttle. And "drift" mode isn't a selectable drive mode, rather, you basically setup for a launch but just don't launch.. . turn off auto hold, auto start stop, set to sport mode, turn off traction and stability by pressing and holding the traction button down for more than 3 seconds..

however, if you just floor it straight it stays coupled, to get it to the 3:97 split, you have to turn the steering wheel past a certain degree.. I can verify it becomes rwd and you can do donuts/drifts very easily and it 100% feels like a full rwd with absolutely no noticeable power going to the front wheels.

Thanks for the AWD info. I was also wondering how you like the brown interior. It's hard to tell from pictures how dark the brown really is. I might be in the market for an Indigo stinger and wanted your thoughts. I think the Chroma blue is really interesting and I like the wheels better than the standard style.

It's not super dark. However most pictures I see if it or take make it look lighter than it is in person. I think it looks great. But that's personal preference lol, the is a lot of brown, dash door cards and center console as well as the seats. It is dark enough that it isn't in your face though and blends nicely with the black carpet and black suede headliner. . I also love the wheels more as well. .

This is how I feel about the GTS..the ventilated seats should have been done.
