I don’t have pics but it’s the full piping on each side with filters, clamps and couplers. Basically identical to the 2.0L kit, though two sides obviously. (Coupler with bottom clamp not pictured though)

Awesome looks great, your expecting to be released end of August? Keep me updated or us here on the thread. And if you are able to get a hold of some pictures please update this post. Do you also sell spark plugs for the 3.3?

The product was officially released for pre-sales a couple weeks ago once we approved the final fit/specifications. And yes, we’ve got to HKS soark plugs listed on trnsite.

It’s the same exact axleback for the 2.0 and 3.3. NGM is also doing midpipes to complete a catback but i don’t have an ETA on those yet.

Yes, the intakes are due next month and pre-orders are being accepted now.

I don't have an ETA on the midpipes unfortunately, but if I had to guess, maybe 2 months. Just so you know, a "catback" consists of the rear muffler section (aka axleback) + midpipes. Technically anyone who gets the axleback can make up a full catback by simply adding the midpipes. And yes, NGM is doing downpipes at the same time as the midpipes.

Yup, I'll do my best. NGM went through 2 redesigns of the axleback so far and I'm kinda upset that they didn't consult me before doing so because I've been advertising their products that were supposedly coming out months ago. It's been quite the back and forth process but they are doing a good deal to support the market and their pricing is extremely reasonable so I can't really get mad at them. It just sucks waiting I guess. Thankfully the intakes are completely separate from the exhaust products so there's hope with those. NGM does make very nice stuff, especially for the money.

I personally dont care about waiting especially if its cheaper....As long as they get the design right and fitment correctly i can care less how long they take...just make sure they get the fitment right that is what its important to me.

I'm looking to pick up these NGM Intakes. Just wanted to see if anyone has had them for a few months and can shine some light on how they are. Price is way cheaper than the rest, and as they say you get what you pay for but I have heard good stories with NGM but some bad ones on different Model intakes in regards to their piping and such. Would these hold up pretty well overtime?

Thanks in advanced

I've never heard anything bad on different model intakes. What exactly are you referring to?

We've sold a ton of these and there's been nothing but high praise. I understand many people think you need a "heat shield" these days but that's generally just marketing hype from manufacturers that they're falling for. If a shield isn't completely sealed from the rest of the engine bay, it really isn't doing anything. Also, since the OEM air ducting outlet us right next to the NGM filter, it gets a fresh flow continually while driving.

Regardless, there really isn't much to an intake like this. A pipe is just a pipe. The filter is the most important part obviously, and the fact that NGM uses S&B filters is a huge plus. S&B is a top notch filter brand.

This isn’t true. I measured 20-30 degree cooler air on the filter side of the K&N heat shield.

Umm lol not really. We're talking about engine temps here. You don't lower the overall temperature of the entire engine bay by putting a shield (unsealed shield at that) around a filter on a pipe, especially not 20-30 degrees lower. It's going to be the same temps right next to the filter of any SRI whether there's a shield or not.

I found an Optima thread with NGM intakes that had a hole in their piping. I mean if the heatshield is what makes it go up by 300 dollars that's pretty high lol. I'm just concerned on how it will hold over time as in wear and tear, NGM's defect ratio and such. I do a lot of highway driving but at many times gridlock occurs. So if I were to sit or move at a slow pace will the heat affect the intake during temperatures of 71+ degree temps. Thank you

It sort of is... While your intake temperature going into the turbo drops significantly (perhaps even near-ambient when in motion at highway speeds), after compression in the turbo (read: heating of the air) and intercooler cooling, that 30 degree difference turns into about 1-2 degrees at the intake manifold. HOWEVER, I am of the mindset that every little bit helps, so I am on the side of having a heatshield when the turbo is so close to the intake because that 1-2 degree drop in actual charged air could very easily be 2-3WHP.

On the flipside, in terms of driving around the city, though, the heatshield can help immensely since very little turbo compression is occurring, so your turbo inlet intake temps are closer to your actual charged intake temps.

Go ahead and review my testing here.

Velossa Tech Designs Big Mouth Intake Snorkel: Initial Review

We’re not talking about overall engine bay temps. We’re talking about temps at the filter.

If putting a shield up between the engine and something doesn’t prevent the heat why does my cabin not heat up when starting the car? The firewall’s not doing anything right?
