• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Do you folks run with a front plate or no? Have any issue going without a front plate? Thanks.

Maybe Illinois is a "first offense" state? As in, a cop can cite you for just the missing plate. In Utah (and elsewhere) citing for a missing plate is a "second offense", at least as practiced. They could, for instance, pull you over for extralegal speed, and then tack on the missing plate citation. If Illinois doesn't pull you over FOR the missing plate, I'd not worry about it, and go for the clean (missing plate) look.

I am sure that if you are not driving down the street without mufflers, limo tinted windows and shooting a gun out of the sunroof, you will be fine. It should be a fixit ticket anyways. At least it is here in California.

Pretty much, dont be an a**hole, you should be fine.

If your parking in the city, you will be ticketed for it by parking enforcement. 200 bucks I believe. I see plenty of fronts going plateless so I don’t believe they will pull you over for just not having a front plate but who knows.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I trimmed my IL plate down to a lower profile. Still readable for the enforcement types so that I don't get hassled for it. I've done this for several cars over the years, and never an issue.

I haven’t had a front plate on my sticker or previous car and have been pulled over a couple times in the past 6 years and cops never said anything. Just be polite if u do and at worst you may get a warning.

NW suburbs here, I haven't had one on in 5 or so years, dating back to my old car. Never been bothered about it by cops. I have a few buddies that are cops in towns around here... they've pretty much all told me them/their departments don't really care about front license plates or tints these days. Once in awhile they'll use it as a pretext to stop someone for something else like suspected DUI, but that's about it really. One of them said their department has 1 tint meter, and it's sitting somewhere in the basement of the station covered in dust lol. Can't speak for everywhere, but that's just my experience. As such, do so at your own risk
