Just made my first trip to IKEA in the Stinger. I picked up two desks and a bunch of other stuff. Normally I'd take my SUV, but the Stinger is super capable; dropped the back seats and slid everything in. Very impressed with the amount of stuff you can throw in the back.

Yea I put a bed from ikea back there !

two weeks ago i went and loaded a 4 drawer shelf, a bed frame, and some smaller stuff, all fit like a charm

Not quite old SAAB 900, but about as useful, i’m guessing.

A bed back there will keep the lid from closing. But that is what bungee cords are for. Serious carrying room. With both seats down it is a vaunted 40.9 cubic feet. That's the size of two refrigerators.

I dont want no scratches, thank god my daughter soon to be 14. Just like big things from KIA.

What's the distance from the front seats in their most rear position and the inside of the trunk/hatch? In other words, what's the longest object you could fit in there if it was "straight" front to back?

@eflyguy the floor from the base of the back seats to the rear is 41.5"

*front seats
?

In other words, with the rear seats folded down.

Oh, yeah, I totally read that wrong. Back in a sec ...

77", from the back of the front seat, angled all the way forward, but with the seat back as far as it will go. So, if you are able to sit forward a bit, and scrunch up your knees a bit, you can fit in something longer than 77"

OK. 72" (6') is kind of the standard so it looks like there's plenty of room for Ikea flat packs! :D

Eating an Ikea ice-cream cone, packing Ikea flat flats and beating an Infiniti Q50 RedSport 400 0 to 60; all in a days work!
