Hello! Just picked up a new 2022 GT1 in Hichroma Red this weekend. So excited to have one of these cars and to find this forum. I have only seen 1 in my area. In fact, it was seeing that one that made me catch up to it and wonder what it was, and research who made Stinger. (I had never even heard of a Stinger before a month ago) I had just recently started looking for a "fun" car that would be both practical as a commuter car and yet score me some cool Dad points with the wife and kids.

I'll just say we are all happy! :) Glad to be here.

Howdy and welcome. Cool intro. The 3.3L was the top of my short list of "must haves": everything else was secondary or even further down. I would give up even the Harman Kardon surround sound before my 3.3L engine, hah! (I have a quiet sunroof, too; those three things were my short list of "must haves".)

Welcome to the hive! And great colour choice too! (but I might be a bit biased lol)

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger! What did the Stinger replace for you? I’m glad you found us. :)

The Stinger replaced a Buick Lucerne CXL. Yeah, quite a change! I drove a Pontiac Bonneville SSEi prior to that for about 15 years, which I loved. It had the supercharged GM3800. That car had about 275,000 miles on it when I sold it. The Buick was an opportunity I just couldn't pass up from a price standpoint. The Pontiac was getting tired and I needed something. So I jumped on it and have been driving it for just over 3 years. It had the GM 3800 (which is a GREAT engine), I knew how to work on it, and was a very comfortable car, but the car wasn't exciting to drive. I had just recently decided to move into something a little more fun, but it had to be able to haul my 3 kids around in the back. That's when I spotted the Stinger several weeks ago. Did some quick research and everyone seems to really love them. I'm new to Kia's so this will be change for me. So far, all is good - no regrets at all!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

A fellow Buick refugee (former Regal, then LaCrosse owner). They don't even make a car we can buy here in the states anymore. Only SUVs, and mind as well get the GMC/Chevy equivalent.

The Stinger is how shall we say... different?

Hey 777David,

I personally think the Highchroma Red is one of the best colors out there.

Welcome and congrats! The Stinger got me the same way my former Buick T-type did - saw one blast off on the highway, engaging my interest. Bought a barely used ‘86 T-type that I owned for 22 years until the GM-ness took it’s toll…also had a low mileage ‘74 Regal that dissolved into rust after one winter here…
But I digress…the Stinger is a blast. Enjoy it and all the great info in this forum.

Thanks - good to see some kindred spirit among the members here even with past automobiles. Did you install your Splash guards or were they already on the car when you got it? Thinking I may have to look into those...

I installed them.
