Just worked out the deal on a blue GT2 AWD and put down my deposit. $2k under MSRP! $52,550 MSRP knocked down to $50,500. With the lease incentives I worked out a $629/mo payment. I intend to buy it out at the end of the lease (or earlier). Super excited!! I should be taking delivery in the next 1-2 weeks!

A little info on how I worked out the deal: Two days ago, I inquired to my local Mercedes dealer on a beautiful dark grey C43 AMG with the premium 4 package ($69,500 MSRP). Waaaay more than I would ever want to pay for a car, but it was a 2017 model and I thought there was a chance the dealer would be itching to move it as end of year is rapidly approaching. I was right. Yesterday, after a test drive, I talked them all the way down to 57k, and a really nice Money factor and got a 12k mile lease for $617 per month. Crazy deal for a $70k car, but I just couldn’t seem to shake the thought of officially passing on the Stinger that I’ve been obsessed with for the last 6 months. So today, before signing the deal on the C43, I called my Kia dealer who has told me they would not budge below MSRP at least 3 other times and told them all about my Mercedes deal and told them it was now or never. I was signing this deal today unless they were willing to go to $50k. They came back with $51k first, then 50.5k about 30 min later. I decided it was close enough and took it.

Did I get the best deal ever? Heck no. Some people will call me crazy for passing up a $70k Mercedes for $12 LESS per month than a $52k Stinger, and they might just be right. But I got the car I’ve been dreaming of for months and am insanely excited about it.

I’m an official member of the family! Now to buy those emblems! :)

(P.s. - we need a “I just bought a stinger!” Thread. Do we have one of those? I felt kinda bad making my own thread to gloat :p)

Is that with all fees and taxes? Regardless, you got a great deal IMO. Congrats and noe go enjoy the car!

Good to see prices are coming down!

Wow! Congratulations! You got a great deal! Yes, it may be a little odd that you passed up a C43 for a Stinger - but you're not going to be alone. We're going to see more and more of this. Heck, I wonder what the Mercedes people are thinking. Do they know you chose the Stinger over their C-Class? heh!

Anyway, the C-Class is a little small. Isn't it? You've got more room to get comfortable in the Stinger.

I think it's great that you started your own thread for this! I'm afraid some of these posts would get lost if they were all sitting in one discussion. Let it stand out! :p :)

$629 is with all tax and fees and everything, yes.

The C43 was definitely smaller and lighter, but definitely quicker too. Twin-turbo v6 with same-ish horsepower as the stinger, but about half a second faster 0-60. That premium 4 package throws every bell and whistle at you that you can imagine. It was really really nice. Amazingly, it didn’t have ventilated seats... but everything else and then some.

I didn’t tell them what I was passing on their car for, but maybe I should have!

No ventilated seats?! :p That's as bad as no surround-view camera in the Stinger. In any event, that's a very fair price/monthly payment you have for the Stinger GT. You got the best you can get and a very good deal. Congratulations... I'm anxious to see the car parked in your driveway... :)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Awesome! Now don't let the accountants discourage you with the money vs value argument. Enjoy!

You might be joking lol, but I dare say worse than no 360 camera. I definitely need that in my next car.

Congrats to the OP. Every time I read one of these posts I ask myself, "do I really need to wait for the 2019 version?". It's getting more and more difficult. My local dealer has a Stinger in stock too. Luckily for me it's only a GT and not a GT2 so I'm not that tempted. Look forward to seeing pictures when you take delivery!

No, actually, I was being serious. I live in Florida so it's hot here most of the year. Even when I lived in New York - it was hot for a few months at a time. Ventilated seats are important to me. Like surround-view camera, I can live without the feature, but I'd really LIKE for it to be there. As far as waiting for the 2019 version - I really think you should just find the Stinger you really want - and buy it. Don't wait until next year. What if the 2019 is still missing something you don't like. Or what if all cars get a new water fountain inside so you're never thirsty - but the Stinger doesn't have it. Wait until 2020 for the car you want? Just get it and don't worry about it. You'll be fine...

Congrats all around!

You have a good point. However, I did that with my Optima. Got the 2015 version when I felt I should have waited for 2016 and I hate not having Android Auto. I do think I could be genuinely happy with this version, but I want to at least see if the features I want will be available in 2019. If not, I'll grab a 2018, and hopefully for a little bit off of MSRP since it'll be further into the life of the model. Hopefully the lease terms will be a little better then, as well. I envy all of the people who are getting theirs now though. Water fountain or no water fountain, ha!

Well, at least your Optima looks better. I prefer the exterior of the 2015 over the 2016 - but everybody is different. I have Android Auto but I don't use it. I get too many calls and messages and don't want to be interrupted while I'm driving...

I definitely agree with you on the looks. Guess there's always tradeoffs. I feel like android auto will help me use my phone less while driving. Safety first.

Android Auto will definitely allow for safer driving WHILE using the phone (hands free) but with all the beeps from emails, texts, phone calls, various other messaging systems - I'd get interrupted too much. I hope to one day have a more relaxing life so I can use something like Android Auto. It does seem like a great feature...

My car came in about a week early :)

I'll try and post more of my thoughts on it as I get to drive it more, but initial impressions after putting about 50 miles on it already are very good, as expected. What a fun drive and beautiful car. Pictures dont do it justice (especially these pictures as the lighting is pretty bad. I'll try and upload better ones when I have a chance to take some pictures in the daylight).

Looks great to me! Congratulations! I'm glad to hear you're liking how the Stinger drives so far. I'm still yet to see one on the road here and I imagine you'll be getting lots of looks over there in Cincinnati...

There's a dealership here in Chicago selling GT2 AWD at Invoice price of $48,213. I'm tempted between this and 2018 Honda CRV.

That seems like a great deal for the GT2. I wonder if anything would change after you got to the dealership.

The Honda CRV is a very different automobile. I didn't realize you were cross-shopping them...

A test drive ought to make up your mind right quick.
