But not as much as I love my new Stinger. 2023 Panther metal GT2 AWD. What a cool car! After 26 years of BMWs, I was in need of a car for a bit and I rented one,, Fortuitously Budget gave me a K-5. What? This is a Kia? Had a nice long drive from Oregon to Vegas and hit 140 in the desolate dessert. This wasn’t even a GT-Line K-5. I was hooked. Had that car for a month. Started learning about Kia’s and loved the Stingers body style. Finally picked one up 10 days ago and am enjoying everything about it. Currently being in Vegas, the remote start through the app and the seat ventilation are big but the trunk opening magically when i stand there and some of the other tech is so intuitive that I marvel that it’s a Kia.. Switching to sports mode when I’m in the mood for some fun reminds me there is way more to this car than just luxury. What an amazing machine we all have found. And. Hi.

You are a very brave person. Not so much the K-5 as the fact it was a rental. What spot did you open it up? My spot was Hwy 95 in Oregon.

lol. Yep. That’s what the speedometer said. At 140 there was a weird whistling noise from the drivers side window otherwise the thing was solid and comfortable at the top end there. No other cars in sight for miles. I took a picture for my son but I was slowing down as I was trying to get the speedometer in frame. Nevada desert between Goldfiel and Tonopah on the 95.

I bought it last Saturday. I actually live in Oregon but I have a business down here so I’m here a lot. I bought it at Findlay as the other Kia dealer here tried to put a $9k market markup on there. I’ve pretty much been sticking around north Vegas between Craig road where my hotel is and speedway where my shop is. Pics of my new baby attached.

LOL! I imagine it was some mph lower than indicated. The speedo's read high, with error increasing faster you go. But still, that's hauling!

I remember doing a buck 20 in my mid 80's caprice in the last century. Whole car started shaking. I thought it was going to come apart.

Welcome! I am waiting to see how the switch from a Mini to a Stinger will be. Time will tell!

Definitely wasn't you then, which means we have another 2022+ black stinger in our midst.

I also bought mine at Findlay. The sales process was smooth and they even worked with me on a few items. At the time (Dec 2020) there were still incentives, so got mine for under MSRP.

Congrats! Small world! I bought the exact same car (color,trim, etc with AWD) at Findlay Kia, in early July. I live in Phoenix AZ and flew to Vegas to pick it up and drive back. The Panthera metal with the Grand Tourer interior is the bomb! Obviously you have great taste!

That’s awesome. The Panthera metal was my first choice but I think I’d have bought almost any color as long as it was a GT2 AWD. Transaction was really smooth. Nice people. They had received mine and a gray one the night before so I got lucky showing up there that morning saying ”I’m here for a Stinger! Got any?” they were out back getting prepped. It never hit the lot.
