I’m out

Enjoy the Supra - definitely something I'll consider down the road when the kids are grown up, if I can still bend down that low :D

meh 400z is coming out in Augusts and it's a manual.
400z is being announced in August. It won’t actually hit dealer lots until December or even into next year. There will be stupid crazy markups on it too.

I did the same thing in April.

LOL

Wish the Supra Forums were as good as this one
These Stinger forums a really good! Another fantastic forum that is super active and people respond quickly is ClubWRX which I still post at. From my experience the Camry forums seem completely divided and the BMW forums (for E36 section at least) have gone pretty dark.

Cool Car choice ! Though I'd still rather have the Stinger, even without test drving the Supra.
It's a small car, sure it's bit faster, but for every day comfort ride, more space, More real vented fenders (haha), more cargo and passenger room and a Cool Car in itself... I'd stick with my Stinger.
But you gotta do what your heart tells you to do.
If you don't need the larger car........ why not

I will only strongly disagree with one thing, but this is just my opinion:

The Supra ride is just as comfortable if not more than the Stinger. I noticed this immediately when I had to drive 2.5 hours home after picking it up. The cabin is also quieter.

No doubt I loved the Stinger, but the Supra is faster, I don’t need the room and it’s just a sweet car.

When not in "sport mode", the Supra is silky.......BUT I won't pit one vehicle against the other. I loved the Stinger and would buy another one in a heartbeat!!!!!! I just wanted a two seater ( no nagging wife, kids grown....LOL) so I can do the 2-seat sports car thing to my heart's content...Porsche was out of my price range so Supra it was....;)

Not really. I wasn’t really even car shopping just wanted to see what my car was worth. I told my wife awhile back that the only car I would consider getting rid of the Stinger for was a Supra. I had a Charger RT and I really enjoyed it but the build quality wasn’t as good as the Stinger IMO. The Camaro’s look fantastic (again IMO) but I’m older and Chevy’s back in the day we’re horrible on build quality. That said I think most everyone builds a quality car now but I can’t get past it in my head. I like the Mustangs as well but it’s not me. I slightly considered Tesla’s and some other electrics but there’s no “sound and fury”. I might have purchased the EV6 GT if it’d been available though.

I traded my 2020 Stinger GT2 on a used 2017 Chevy SS a couple of months ago. The build quality is NOTHING like the Chevy’s back in the day. Been enjoying the heck out of it. V8 is awesome.

Had a 2016 Camaro 2SS before getting the 2019 Stinger GT1. I can vouch for the Camaro build quality, it’s solid. And there’s nothing like the unbalanced roar of a fossil fuel eating v8 paired with the way God intended vehicles to be driven — a manual transmission!

Well said! Exactly why I miss my 1970 Road Runner. It had the 383 cubic inch Commando V8.
I do love my Stinger though. I like the way it looks and drives like a European Grand Touring Sport sedan. But there’s nothing on earth like the chest thumping rumble of a big ol‘ Chrysler V8.

Awesome choice! I almost went to the SS several times--love that car. I still daydream about it and chuckle when I imagine SS drivers doing remote start at the gas station and other customers jerk their head around wondering which car made that roar, never suspecting the "Malibu" sitting right there. That's the LS in there correct? With port injection?

The ancestral ties are interesting between the Stinger and the SS. Apparently, the SS used the E39 M5 as a development benchmark, and of course we know the BMW DNA in the Stinger. Apparently the Stinger is the spiritual successor to the Commodore SS in Australia--correct me if I'm wrong members from there.

Anyhow enjoy that very special ride. Absolutely last of its kind.
