Hydrolic Electronic Control Unit Recall

I am in TX. They tried the same with me. I do not expect the tires to make it to 20K but no where near the critical stage they lead you too believe. Had the rotor and pad issue like many. They resurfaced rotors and acted as if this is not a recurring issue. I since changed out the pads and all good. Its a money grab. Warranty work and oil changes are about the most they will get from me. Sorry to say. I will give another dealer a shot but they are gonna have to be exceptional for me to consider. Good luck.

I believe the point of the recall is that the HECU should not draw more than 25A, and in fact the wiring from the fuse block to the HECU is rated for no more than 25A, yet it was originally put on a 40A fuse, meaning an HECU failure that would draw more than 25A, but less than 40A would not blow the fuse but would overheat the wiring which could lead to a fire.

I had the recall done last week, but the dealer was pretty confused about the whole thing. I originally called the dealer because I bought the car used, and it had no service records with it. The dealer I called was the one that originally sold the car (according to CarFax) and did warranty work. The lady in the service department gave me the requested info, and informed me it was under recall. She said they would order the parts and call me when they came in (usually 1-2 weeks). I did not hear anything after 2 weeks so I called and transferred me to the parts desk to see if they came in, after giving my name and all, he said they were not in yet but in transit and to call back in a couple days. I called a week later and the parts guy said they were in and transferred me to the service department to schedule the work. I indicated it was about 2 hours drive each way so I needed it done the same day, they said no problem.
Now comes the day of the appointment, I drop off the car and get a ride to a local mall so I could hang out since I knew it would take about 3-4 hours since I had another item for them to check. I was surprised when they called an hour later and said it was all done. Seemed suspicious, but I didn't hurry back to the dealer. When I get there, and checking out, the lest thing the service adviser said was that I needed to bring it back because it was a two part recall, at which point I got a little irate because I was told the parts were already there. The adviser apologized and went to check with the parts guy and he could find no record of parts ordered for me! This was after three previous phone calls being told they would order the parts and later that they were in.
After demanding a better answer, they checked in the parts department again and said that there WAS a kit that was ordered for another customer back in November, but never got the work done, and since it as over 30 days, they could use that kit for mine.
So wait another 2 hours and finally it was done. What a PITA.
Yesterday I took my car to a Tire Kingdom for an alignment. During the alignment, they noticed that the front left brake caliper is leaking from the washer that connects the brake line to the caliper. They replaced the washer and introduced air in the system. It took them 5 hours to bleed the system as they only bled it from one exit line instead of two on each caliper. After properly bleeding the system, the c2402(1) code came up. They tested it by initiating the ABS bleed procedure and told me that the ABS motor is working. I bought a Topdon car scanner and tested the ABS module, the test failed, no noise was coming up from the ABS pump.

What fuse is responsible for the ABS/HECU module, which may render the ABS pump non-responsive. Is it one of those long multifuses in the engine bay?

The techs at Tire Kingdom even told me that their 1k Autel system could not read the error codes, which is a blatant lie.

If it's not fuse-related, I may have to go after Tire Kingdom, as they may have fried my ABS module/motor.
