How to remove the KIA badge from the steering wheel

Here is what the Kia badge looks like after it is removed. You can see the metal prongs. It’s really maleable tin like material.

Also some photos of the new badge. Pretty happy with how this went. The new badge could be 1mm or 2 wider as it leaves a small gap on the upper corners that my OCD notices.

I will keep it this way for now but keep looking for a nice cost effective alternative. I like the Stinger badge above but with shipping and US currency exchange it’s too rich for me.

The question is Why would you remove the badge?? You bought a KIA Stinger, the badge is part of the car if you want something else buy a BMW or something.

Because its ugly and they put TOO many KIA badges on this car!

I dunno, too many, yeah the wheels are a bit much, but lately every car mfg. went with larger ''get in your face''badges, damn near dinner plates for some......''kia'' for a badge isn't over the top imo. but a SR in the wheels would be cool....or just an S....but they aren't ugly, not to me anyway.

Would strongly advise just slapping a sticker or replacement badge on top of the original. I feel like some dealers would instantly void your warranty for tampering with a safety feature.

The badge is not a safety feature. It’s not in any way attached to the airbag.

I don't like ALL the kia Badges so I will change them, but its cool if others do. I guess you are right about the dinner plate thing..lol

The badge came from Sal right here at stinger store..super quality piece goes right over stinger badge.. ...

I replaced the badge I bought from the K8Stinger store with one from eBay today:

Steering wheel cap emblem "Stinger" Logo For Kia Stinger 2018~2019+ | eBay

It is a better quality badge as it's not nearly as malleable as the one I had and so it fit in the void left by the OE Kia one much better (my other one bent slightly and so left a void in each corner). Very happy with this now as it looks OE and how IMO, the Stinger should have come from the factory.
