How to power front seat inside a house?

Thanks. I will post some pics when complete. It's for my sim-racing cockpit which I already built, but have been struggling to find comfortable seat, but I know the Stinger seat works well for me. I've seen some out of state available from junkyards. Does anyone have a suggestion or source of where I can get Stinger seats?

Is there a wiring diagram available somewhere for these seats?

Howdy. What a cool idea (no pun intended). Welcome to the forum.

under the seat, for basic 12V power, there is a 2 pin plug you can use. For other features, like say heat/cool use a slide switch that has at least 4 positions (OFF/Hi/MED/LOW). Shouldn't be horrible to trace with a DVOM.
Just NEVER mess with the bright yellow cabling under there as it is for the airbags.
Best of luck on your project!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Make sure you also find out, how many Amps that entire chair set up will pull on 12VDC.

It's probably on a 5A fuse in the car fuse box.

The wiring diagrams haven't, to my knowledge, been copied out yet. You'll need to pay for a KGIS account and check it out.
There's two general methods modern seats are built - stand-alone and integrated. If standalone then you can just apply main power and you're fine. If it's integrated, then it won't do anything unless it can communicate with the other computers in the car. You'll just have to experiment and see what happens.
The seat memory requires external communication, so there's definitely some level of integration. No idea what you'll run into though.

That's why I suggested a switch for the heat/cool setting as that is almost always stand alone and not a "smart(integrated)" system.

I used a battery charger on 12v for my SHO seats when working on them on the bench, which worked great. However, although they are six way (1990, come on!) there was no memory integration.

Thanks for the responses. I've been trying to find some clarity by looking at wiring diagrams, but I am not sure if I have found what I need. The section in the following link looks like possibly what I need, but not sure. I have a buddy that is familiar with such things, but he was wanting to see colors of wires to know what is what, so not sure if I need something else, but I need to know if can be made to work before buying a seat. Thanks.

That link does show the pinouts of the connectors so that should be plenty of info to work with. You should be working with pinouts and not wire colors anyway as wire colors can change but pinouts generally stay the same unless the modules are completely different.

I'm finally getting to the point of ordering a Stinger seat. It does seem doable with the pinouts. One option I couldn't find anything on and the local KIA dealer only tried selling me a car instead of the seat, does anyone know how much a brand new OEM driver's seat would cost if I found someone to sell me one?

I bet there are some functional seats from totaled stingers hit by the hurricane

I'm pretty sure I have the pinout wiring diagram. I'll have to dig when I get to work this morning
