My experiences with Apple Maps has helped me move off of the Apple platform for my phone. Android auto definitely has more options. Regardless of platform or app, each nav app takes some time with settings and some getting used to. I've been impressed with Kia's Nav and will be using it over Google or Waze for now. Time may change my mind.
Sometimes I'm already in the turn/exit before it goes off, as well. So, it's useless to me.
That's because you drive too fast.![]()
One increasingly irritating thing about the Stinger's Nav is that a tone is made at every turn/exit point. I get why it's there, I just hope I can turn it off somehow. LOL Sometimes I'm already in the turn/exit before it goes off, as well. So, it's useless to me.
Sorry, but does that just turn off the tone or the directions, etc., as well? You can, and it's a "sticky" setting that stays off until you turn it back on. Just tap the speaker icon on the map and then the mute button. I do the same for Google maps in Android Auto - no turn-by-turn, just traffic warnings.
Unfortunately, that turns off all notifications, there's no way to turn off just the notification pongs.Sorry, but does that just turn off the tone or the directions, etc., as well?
...there's no way to turn off just the notification pongs.
Lol. "Pong" is more similar to a noise, also "ping" is network utility, so it might be confusing to some. It's a pong, not a ping? What were those software designers thinking?!?!?!?
