How many Stingers can "you" get in a picture?

The west coast guys started at the dealers, us east coast Stinger enthusiasts started at a coffee shop and finished at a pub, no dealerships for us.

To be fair to our Perth friends I’m pretty sure a dealership organised or sponsored the run @AV8R posted pics from. Either way it was a good turn out and the biggest they’ve had so far over there as far as I know.
........well then who's to say the dealer didn't stack a few demo's in there ?? . If we are going to be making claims about attendance size we need better validation ( and proper pics) I think we need to challenge our community to pull together the largest meets possible , but lets sets some guidelines if we want to make claims of actual numbers , first being all cars must be owned by a Forum member and then listed by name in the submission , no dealer cars allowed !!! ( not an accusation )

Yeah, otherwise CGI will bring on claims of "Deep Fake! Deep Fake!"

hahahahaha , I'm not trying to start an issue with our Aussie brothers/sisters , if we make claims about attendance we just need proper validation . The "Group" picture or video is the critical "proof" and should be the cornerstone of submitting if making an attendance claim ....................some thinking around a parking strategy that supports a proof shot is critical as we learned in Woodinville ..........................EDIT and I would strongly reco bringing a drone for some dynamic shots

Some well-shot vids of a Stinger meet taken from a drone would be awesome!

I didn't realise that sheep stations were on the line here...

Seriously, how about we, as a community, take the word of organisers/attendees on how many cars turned up? Photos are great, but the purpose of a photo is to capture a moment, not to prove to naysayers that one meet was bigger than another.

If "Proof" (great movie btw) is required to satisfy someone's honour, we're failing as a community.

I agree, there was a guy in our March meet that had a drone & did a few flyby shots but I think he was only on the Kia GT Owners Australia/NZ Facebook site.

Can you prove that "failing as a community" part.:geek:

You know it's not paranoia when they're really out to get you, right?

My responses, by the way, are my own. I have my own two eyes, my own brain, and my own ability to pick up when someone posts stuff that doesn't contribute to the community in a positive fashion. Fun is cool, as long as it's not at someone else's expense, or taken too far.

This is not a game in the school yard, we shouldn't be out to " up one another ", lets play nice kids ;)

....I'm sensing some malignant narcissism at play....

Oh WTF 18,18,18,18,18! :rofl::rofl::laugh::laugh:.

It's like the joke about the guy walking past a wall, and hearing a chant behind it "18, 18, 18, 18..."

He reaches a hole in the wall, curious as to what the chanting is about, he puts his eye to the hole to look through, and a finger jabs him in the eye.

The chant changes, "19, 19, 19, 19..."

This is a rather sad sight. This is my local dealer. They have 16 brand new 2019 Kia Stingers on their lot. This picture has 15 of those 16 cars in it.

The sad part is that many of these cars have extensive hail damage that makes these cars virtually unsellable.

They also have 2 used Stingers on the lot and two people that work there drive Stingers.

They could easily line them up for a picture with 20 but I am afraid they just don’t care enough about them to do that. All of these cars are piled at the very back of the lot covered in weeks of dust and leafs from not moving at all.

They look good "from here". :p The hail damage can't be too bad. But isn't this the same case I read about on here a couple or more weeks back, where the dealership is waiting for insurance to pay for the repair from the hail? Still, sad story! :(

That is the biggest problem you can’t see most of the damage until you get really close to the car. Then if you look at it in the sunlight at the right angle you will see 20-30 quarter sized dents on each panel. I am afraid some people might not notice the damage until after they purchase it if the dealer doesn’t disclose the damage first.

Do you have a link to the thread about the damage? I haven’t talked to them about it yet because I decided not to get a Stinger.

No, darn it. I don't have a hope of recalling which thread that tidbit was mentioned on. Weeks back, at least. This just fits the description perfectly: Stingers all way to the back lot, gathering dust, hail damage one and all.

It looks like this dealer has no intention of foisting damaged goods on the sly on anybody.
