Well, I hope it's not all. I'm going to do a little research on that. Otherwise, it's nice to see Kia being so competitive in the technology department. They've come a long way in a relatively short amount of time...I'm not saying that they are all this way. I could have gotten unlucky as none of my trucks had this issue. The big kicker for most is that they do not purchase extended service contracts. The bumper to bumper warranty would have been expired for me as its only 3 yr 36k. I purchased an extended service contract on it for that reason. Its always hit or miss as we all know every vehicle has a mind of its own. The other kicker for me is the infotainment system. I was very impressed with GMs when it first came out in the new truck/suv bodystyles. After driving and getting used to Kia's system GMs seemed like it was lacking something. I know it seems like I'm anti GM on this post ( I'm not by any means) Currently posting from our Cadillac showroom. I think it was just weird for me to see Kia do such big things in the technology department even in comparison to someone like GM.
That's very impressive. They really made some big changes, huh?Test drive a 2017 to see the improvements, it was like a luxury car compared to the ones before
Check out the upcoming Kia Telluride SUV. Very impressive! The new vehicles released for the 2016 mode year from KIA are great. I first drove the Sorento 2.0T and that car felt like my buddy's last gen X5, it was so quiet and it handled well, the SPortage I checked out but have yet to drive one. The wife did and wanted to get one, it was that or the newly released 2016 Optima which was also quite well done. If the dealer was willing to deal, we would have had 2 KIAs instead of the Volvo. I'm happy with that car and how spritely it is. There is no SUV/CUV that KIA currently has coming out unless they do a new one and make it like a XC60 or X3, or Q5, I'd go for "LUXURY" KIA AWD vehicle.
I'm glad to hear you've had so many Kias and such a great experience at the dealership. Of course, the Stinger is the best one yet! Enjoy it and keep us posted on all the compliments you get.My Stinger is my 7th (in a row) KIA. I love KIA, thier cars and the thier service.
My first was a 2005 Sadona. Bought it used and two weeks after buying it, found out I was pregnant with twins... I blame the fact that I bought a van.
2012 Forte EX - New
2014 Rio - New - Au Pair's car. When she left us, she bought the car from us.
2014 Optima SX Turbo - New. I traded the Forte in for this babe, and boy, did I love my Optima.
2009 Rio - Used - Au Pair's car. I was never really fond of this car (no issues with it, I just did not like the modal year for Rio's) but it did it's job, until our Au Pair hit a deer at 45MPH. I will say that this little Rio probably saved her life. She hit the deer in the front/driver's side. Instead of the deer flying over the hood and smashing into the windshield, the deer somehow got caught on the hood, which caused the hood to lift up and carried the deer clear over the roof of the car. Bad for the deer, bad for the Rio (totaled), good for our Au Pair. She walked away unhurt.
2015 Rio - Used - Replacment Au Pair's car. Still have it and it is quite a nice liitle car.
2018 Stinger 2.0T Premium - Traded in my beloved Optima SX Turbo for the Stinger and have been in love with the car from Day 1.
I have alot of experience with KIA's and honestly, I cannot really say anything bad. I have never had any major issues with any of my KIA's and my dealership here in Northern Virginia has always taken care of me. Even my first experience with Service was for the Sadona, it had failed safty inspection due to the Cat Converter, and KIA replaced it under warrenty, no questions asked. That was the day I was hooked on KIA. I have always been a Chevy girl up until that point.
3 more to go and I hit that 10 mark! We do plan to buy a Niro (EV?) in the next year for my husband.
