How many 32nds of an inch depth difference in tire diameters is okay between a new and old tires?

Swap the tire from side to side see if the pull follows it. If not, I would guess something is off on the side that "pinch" flatted the old tire.

Can you define what pinch flatting is in terms of car tires? Heard about it in terms of bicycle tires, but car tires??

Low profile tires are notorious victims of this. A pot hole, or in my circumstance a pipe sticking out of the road way pinched the tire between itself and the rim so tightly, that the tire split ruining it.

Wow... talk about road hazards.

Few years ago I got pulled over because the officer thought I was drunk. This was at just before 7am. Told him, no, not drunk, but the roads are garbage so i'm all over the place in the lane.
