How is everybody's fuel mileage?

Made a 1,000 km trip to Edmonton and back last Friday and got my best mileage so far at 9.5 L/100km. Works out to about 25MPG in US gallons. I was happy with that mileage as most of the time was spent cruising at a pretty good pace.

In mixed driving, I usually get about 12 L/100km (19 MPG), but that get dragged down by lots of remote-started warm up sessions this time of year.
That -6c scares me hasn't been below 37c as a maximum here for a week. Check this 20181229_164138.webp , a little warm.

Ollie being from Qld you probably don't get the low single digits we get further south. My i30 shows the snowflake from 2c and below. Being at the foot hills of the Blue mountains we can get down to -1c . ( ps stop laughing all you North Americans , that's is cold when you have houses not made for the cold. I.e No central heating.:D:D

On the coast we don’t get those minimums. I used to live out at Roma and it got down to -5 when I was there and I only had Stones green ginger wine (and undiscerning women) to keep me warm. So what does the snowflake signify? Apart from put on a jumper.

Snowflake= its damn cold outside the vehicle as in Brrr or in North America Brrr x10.
Foot note. Roma Qld - 5c? How much of that Stones green ginger wine did you consume. Ps Ain't that big Artie territory?

-6C? Hell, that's nothing. New year's eve dropped back down to about -25C with a -35C wind chill. As for the snowflake icon, that shows up when it's 4C or colder, indicating that the roads may be icy - so it pretty much stays on for about half of the year up here.

Yes. I've stopped looking at mpg altogether during the winter. Warming up takes a huge bite out of mpg. I look at my G meter instead. :P

I was about to post the same thing. Plus the snowflake icon next to it. Never seen that before and doubt Australian Stingers have it. What does it signify? Apart from the obvious.
The snowflake icon came on all Stingers in the US owned by people who didn't vote for Trump. ;)JK (melting snowflake, get it?)

It comes on with a little attention getting *ding*, and the warning that cold conditions might create hazardous road surfaces.

(Oh, @Crisis already said that.)

25.9 lifetime, 8 months, 7k miles. Basically 100% highway miles though.

This is actual input measure, not going off of the computer. The computer says my lifetime mileage is ~28, and my daily commute is >30, which is a bit optimistic. Lol.

Also, the snowflake is an icy road warning, triggers at 4c or 39f. Anecdotally, my car read -16f/-27c yesterday. I walked a mile to get lunch in that weather, terrible idea! 0 is fine, but in the negatives, your breath starts to freeze in your nostrils as you exhale, not fun.

It's winter, your gas mileage is going to go down 10-20% on average. Cold air is denser, creates more drag on the car, also forces the car to use a bit more fuel (but you get more power) plus winter blends have a bit less energy in a lot of areas. Warming up your car in the morning doesn't help and it also takes longer for engine and oil temps to get up, cold engines have reduced efficiency.

I did some distance driving over the holidays. The best I could manage on the interstate, with out traffic, was 32 MPG in 50 degree weather and cruise set to 70. Not too shabby!

On my travels, I've found a couple of gas stations offering Ethanol Free gas at 91 Octane. :) I've used that gas when I can find it... That may be responsible for the 31.9 MPG but I'm not certain of it.

Oh - and my city MPG is about 19 MPG - as low as 16 MPG if I keep it in Custom - Maxed out Sport mode... :)

I commute same 80 mile route daily with mountain highway and then flat urban highways.

My 3.3T averages about 21 mpg
My Dodge Durango RT on same commute averaged about 19 mpg
My Porsche Boxster S and Cayman S both did about 27 mpg on same commute.
My Toyota Echo did about 38 mpg
My 2017 Honda Civic Si did about 29 mpg

This commute is great indicator as hills force use of boost in turbo cars. My Big heavy V8 SUV gets close to Stinger on mountain route.

But in perfectly flare highway driving stinger excels and gets high 20s. 28 or 29 if I stay off boost. But that’s boring . Right?

Your MPG calculations are a bit off. You're actually getting closer to 24 MPG in mixed driving and your trip to Edmonton and back was closer to 30 MPG. Decent numbers. That's what I'm getting as well on average.

My numbers since July 2018

Your MPG calculations are a bit off.
Depends on which gallon you're using - everything looks better with an Imperial gallon, problem is they're more expensive and you can't stuff as many of them in the tank ... :)
