hi all

I like the sound of the exhaust when in sport with the valves open but dont want to drive in sport mode all the time and there is no option under custom setup to have exhaust always open valves which is a shame.

I read somewhere that the valve controller can be disconnected with valves open and it will work fine?

is there a step by step process somewhere I can read up on? watch YT video ?

thanks

That is a video showing how to disconnect on a g70. I went one step further and bought a remote setup for mine. So I can click a button in the cabin and open or close whenever I want. So I can cruise in comfort with it nice a loud or drive in sport with it quiet. All at the press of a button.

You’re welcome!

This is the part I used. I can’t link it for some reason but it’s APR Part # MS100170. It plugs into the factory wiring and just bypasses the factory control. So the remote has an on and off button for the valves.

looks like it does the trick, is this what you used?

I ordered from summit racing. They all showed back order but shipped in around a week. Think they come straight from the manufacturer and might be built to order.

I just did basically what the guy did in the g70 video. Unplugged them and taped them off. Was super easy and if I ever want to switch back I can put everything back in like 2 minutes. I have a beater I cruise around in often so I have the luxury of never driving the stinger in the rain or anything so that helps me feel comfortable about leaving them unplugged.
