3.3TT hose clamp

Pry that cap off with a screwdriver.
Then like any other worm clamp ;)

Ohhh so they are just caps... When I was about to change my spark plugs I got to the point following the video you had to take the intake off but not knowing they were caps I looked for alternate way without taking the intake off and was able to do it that way. At least now know for future reference.

You can do plugs without taking the intake off, just separate the two halves of the coil and you can get it out from underneath the intake, then just use some u-joint extensions to get the plug out.

There's a thread and YouTube video on how to do it.

He's talking about the silicone coupler. You absolutely have to take that off to do the plugs, lol

That's how I did it, a magnetic socket was a big help as well.

I was able to remove all the plugs without removing the intake or seperating the silicone coupler. Having it off would of helped with the removal of the bolt on the coil right under it, but it wasn't that hard really.

We must have different engines or something: that silicone coupler is totally in the way, lol... The 30 seconds it takes to remove that saves 5+ minutes of angling shit around

Maybe? I have the 3.3, but yeah I wanted to remove it. Would of made it faster but at that time I didn't know the clamps just had caps that needed to come off. But I agree removing it would of made it easier, but its not impossible lol.

Glad to know they're just caps, my densos just came in (been running regapped stock plugs) and that should save a few minutes this time around. especially that pesky coil bolt.

I removed all plugs without taking anything extra off, use universal joints and you can get in there.

No, you don't.

Fine, I shouldn't have said absolutely, but considering I've swapped and tested between various plugs 5 times, now, the coupler is easy to remove and gives me wayyy more room to properly torque the spark plugs, so I consider it a requirement, lol

Apology accepted.
