Yah, the title says it all. This happened to me a little while ago but only just getting around to posting the pics. Came outside one rainy day to find someone had struck my car when I was parked on the side of the road and drove off. Luckily I work at a bodyshop and the whole ordeal wasnt to painful. Plus I got to spray my own car which gave me some peace of mind.
Here are some shots of the damage how it came out. Oh and keep in mind...while it may not be visible in the photos.. the paint was scarred to badly to consider PDR (Paintless dent repair) as an option.

Ouchh. Its no fun man. We got hit almost in the same area of the car too. Some people have no respect. Its certainy an expensive bill. Mine was nearly 2500 CAD

Thanks! And yah it certainly wasnt fun. But couldve been worse. Definetly a challenge to match this color as well because its a tri-stage paint. But it did turn out nicely. Good enough for me anyways.

But sometimes the street is all there is, e.g. in a subdivision and all the driveway spaces are taken up (like yesterday, visiting my son; I couldn't even avoid parking opposite driveways; impossible; there was nowhere but curbside; cross your fingers and pray).

Mine was $4500+ in damage total with a $1000 deductible - ended up paying $860 because I opted to not replace one of the rims as the damage buffed out.

It varies state to state depending on laws. In Ohio, they're not allowed to increase your rate for a not-at-fault collision claim from an uninsured / underinsured party. I'm waiting to get my next rate quote to see if they do. The big question is whether or not someone who commits a hit and run is considered uninsured / underinsured.

No.. Not in my case anyways. My deductible was 500$ (with 50$ taken out).. So i paid 450$ vs the repair which was nearly 2500$. As long as you file a police report insurance deems you not at fault so your rates don't increase. Just not fun to eat 500 dollar payment for nothin. That was gona go toward my k&n intake

Similar thing happened to me except the damage was minor so I decided to not to do anything about it.
